Yes they do and i like it! Keeps the mtn from getting pounded on pow days.
Their snow stake is in a very sheltered area, surrounded by trees. I pay more attention to the cams and the area around the stake. Look at the snow amounts through the evening then compare in the morning. Also wind direction. Watch the flag on mtn house.
It was sorta warm but the wind kept it cold and the temp dipped bug time around 11.
Our storms also come in and hit cold air aloft and can snow heavy when they report 32-36deg at the lodge, like yesterday.

Yeah they say lookout gets the most snow but I think Silver gets just about the same and their terrain is better than lookout.

Things were drastically improving at Schwietzer today, skied till noon. Lee aspects started to get wind sift and smooth out. Linked up with skis-the-trees for the morning till he had mitten fetching duties to attend to. Crowds seemed to be isolated to groomers, had many quiet solo laps in the colburn lake basin. This week should be solid, hoping to get up to the hill Tuesday & Friday but we'll see how the week goes.

You should start a blahg Woodrow. We could find all your insight in one handy place.

I’ve got some 188 Armada Invictus 108 ‘‘tis that fit the bill for what you’re looking for. Damp, camber and all the hatred has been fucked, I mean skied, out of them. I’ll give them to you in trade for dinner when we hit Schweitzer at the end of February. I think you know what the bases and edges are like, they’ll need a grind and tune.

    Shit, i wish.
Silver was good today, not as good as yesterday but still fast fun skiing on the right aspects.
Poked around in N. Face Glades to P1. A solid 20” is needed to get it skiing well. Lots of tree tops and some stumps still sticking out. Gate 2 fall line is a mass of tree tops sticking out 10-20” out of the snow.
Wind packed and punchy in spots with the last 6” to the ground being facets.
If gate 2 opens be VERY cautious. Gate 3 fall line into P1 out the bottom is good to go.

Skied Silver with KopiRed and it was [emoji108]

Ski on laps all day, wind was rotating around filling in all aspects. Free refills, and tracks were filled by the next lap. North face glades will be dialed by Wednesday if this storm continues to produce.

This storm cycle is guuuuuuud! If you got sick days burn em.

So you’re saying that glades won’t be ready for tomorrow? Was the peak open?

Felt no need to go anywhere near Wardner as chair 2 and 3 were ski on and refilled each run so couldn’t tell you. Steep&Deep, quicksilver, sunset were money all morning long and just got deeper... easily 1.5 ft deep with windload. Then wind switched around noon and chair 3 filled in within an hour and was smooth and fast wind swept pow like mash the peddle stay neutral and crush!

So regarding NFG. Sunset to the right through gate 1 skied super well but anything right of gate 1 had too many small stumps/rocks showing. I got 1 size-able core shot on a piece of rock which kept me from poking out more right. Buttttt if the forecast continues nukes all bets off, just go tho if you can swing either day.

From the amount of tree tops and other crap sticking out in N.Face yesterday, i would tread very carefully in there if they open tomorrow. Im thinking 24” minimum just to cover stuff and then another 8-10” to ski with abandon.
