^Figure on just groomers off of lifts 1, 2, and 4 traditionally. 7 and 7a don’t usually open for a while which makes it a pain to get back from the backside.

It's still a little boney in places. Kachina is still not open. But I'm still having fun. A couple more decent dumps and January will be epic.

what's the word on how Taos is shaping up? general conditions in early-March? my brother is in Med School there and thinking about flying out to meet him at Taos for a long weekend

TAFKALVS got me stoked on some local hill summits. It would be cool if there was one of these per month on at different ski areas across the US.

Gauging interest for the weekend of Jan 24-26. Mag Summit. Taos Ski Valley, NM.

We have a “fat” base of 53” and you’re going to hit rocks either way.

Thoughts? If we get some steam I’ll start a thread.

First time? All I gotta say is HAVE FUN!!! Taos is one of my absolute top favorite places to ski. The terrain's a blast, but the vibe there is also something special. I've witnessed a lot of insanely good skiers out there. Can't wait to get back. Cruised through the area a couple weeks ago, but we hit up Wolf Creek instead so we could hit up the hot springs. That whole region has damn good coverage. Was MUCH better than I experienced further up the road in Montana. Haha.
