Nice @LVS — weather really popped at Schweitzer!

Pics out of order, started on goats, and the snow was little too inconsistent and firm to enjoy, swapped over to the pro riders. I think the goats will definitely be in play this coming weekend should the forecast hold.

Yeah boy! Today faaar exceeded expectations. First four laps of untouched goodness was a great start to the season for me.

Wow what a surprise today was. If you weren’t at Silver you really missed out. Snowed 4-6” this morning keeping things really softwith a bunch of knee deep pockets. Visibility was great allowing SkiLyft and I to open it up for some really fun fast skiing. Besides yesterday’s first four untouched runs, today skied better overall. Solid start to the season.
Snow is skier packed in nicely so another 20” will really make things pop.

Conditions yesterday outside the foggy basin were decidedly abnormal--fog layer was thin, snow was soft and every dog and their owner seemed to be out for a walk on the flat shoulder of south bowl.

Finally got a ride on the new chair today and was quite surprised: new chair stays on brand better than expected--finally we have proof that Schweitzer isn't flat! The first 11 towers gain almost a hundred feet before sloping back down to tower 12, and as everyone knows "flat" places don't slope up and down. I've been saying for years that all the worthwhile runs slope back up to the lift, so it's pretty cool that now we have a lift that slopes back down before you start a run.

I'm usually easy to spot in bounds: I'm almost always wearing a pair of heinously ugly purple pants that I'm trying to wear out. (Or convince MiCol to reproduce in certain parts, since apparently they can't be killed.)

Oh, yeah, good point--I tend to imagine everyone wears FTPs. Full-maggot would be sporting a little AQS, though--maybe I'll get to that this week.

No, I missed that trick. Deep days and ON3P demo days havent aligned for me so far, and the RES hasn't had a chance to shine.
