Sorry guys for the delay. I'll get those codes created and respond to the PM's.

Just want to give the lurkers a little "heads up" regarding these discount codes. Here's my reply to a recent petition for a maggot code which I figured I'd share with the community.

    Noob,

Yep, giving out codes still - but the thing is the codes are for maggots, people involved in the community. It's backcountry.com's way of stoking out the community of skiers that we respect and are a part of. I see you've just registered and have no posts - are you a long time lurker or just dropping by for a deal? I'm not trying to be dificult or elitist, just want to be sure you're gonna be sticking around to be part of the community so that this code I give you is not just a 1 and done deal for you. This community is a nutty place to be for sure but also the best place for skiers like us to be. So I'm saying to stick around, lend your opinion, share some stoke and be part of the community.

[/off my soapbox] Send me your full name and I'll get you the code (I have to assign the codes to a full name)

    Thanks.

    Powstash
Edit - I'm not meaning to scare the lurkers and newbs away from asking for a code. Just telling ya to get involved and become part of the community. There's much more here than a deal.

P.S. - my code has sent me on a friggin binge.

    Powstash-
Just wanted to give mad props to backcountry.com -- you guys rock!

Every interaction I've ever had with the crew there has been helpful, informative, and absolutely positive. Once, when I was buying a bunch of gear for a long trip up in the Alaska Range, they extended an extra discount to me "just because". (Some of the gear I was buying was already on sale because it was early spring.)

With or without discount, you have my loyalty. I just ordered some stuff yesterday, in fact (no discount) -- even before seeing this thread.

    Rock on!

    (I'm a long-time lurker, new poster.)

Powstash, can the 10% off for maggots also be extended to dogfunk.com? Just curious as there is something there I want to order.

    Thanks

    New developements

Okay, for those of you that have been waiting, I'm reloaded and ready to fire off the codes to you.

    AS A PSA:

I've got the standard 10% off at BC.com

    AND

I worked it to get a 20% off at Tramdock.com and Dogfunk.com (one code works at both sites)

So if you've got some stuff you like that can be found on Tramdock.com or Dogfunk.com and you don't mind saving an extra 10%, let me know when you PM.

And no, you can't have your cake and eat it too. One or the other. (you greedy bastards )

uh, do I have to call the cyber cop?

gents and ladies, just a little house cleaning on this hookup code stuff. 99% of the time, it runs like a charm. You send me a PM, I give you the code, you order the goods, you shralp the gnar with said goods and buy extra beer with the loot we saved you - everyone's happy.

Then 1% of the time this happens:

We had a "friend of a friend" contact our customer service folks last night saying stuff like, "Dude, can't you just give me the TGR deal...is Altachic around?...How about powstash? c'mon man, you can't give me at least a 10% off on the North Face Steep Tech Jacket? Man I hate to pay full price....blah, blah, complain, blah"

Okay so I'm paraphrasing but the jist of it was that someone I had given a 20% off Tramdock.com code has a JONG friend that likely doesn't post on this board but somehow know's my name or altachic's name and then starts to name drop and generally giving our peeps a hard time (all for a Steep Tech Jacket - it musta been Endless ). That sucks gents and ladies.

    Keep it real folks.

    That is all.

As nice as it is to 'hook a brutha up', it always ends up being a pain in the ass for the person who's trying to help out.

    Where's my shit?
    When's my shit coming in?
    I need my shit?
I can't go on without my shit!
Come on, order my shit already!

Are prices on the same product ever different at the two sites? E.g., the K2 Phat Luv (trying to get my wife on fat boards) is $549 at both. So, assuming that I were to ask for and receive a discount code, I'd pay $495 at BC but $440 at Tramdock?

Either way, that's a rocking good deal. You are a credit to all communities, virtual and real, of which you are a member.

This sucks. Powstash and backcountry.com are doing an amazing thing for this community. It sucks when someone is short-sighted and potentially screws this up for all.

Think, people! And a huge "Thank you" to Powstash & backcountry.com.

Brotheren (and the sassy sisters too):

This offer is a forever standing offer (as long as you don't abuse it). Feel free to PM me whenever you need to save a little on some gear. Of course if you've already got a shop that you take your biz too and are happy with, that's a perfect situation. No biggy. Otherwise, I'm glad to take care of the maggots when called upon.

OH YEA, one more thing. If you have a code from last year and find that it has expired, just let me know and I can breathe new life into it. No worries at all.

From both me, and the people I will no longer have to bother at 6 am for those random pieces of BC equipment.

    PSA

Just a broad message to those that have a code from last year - if you'd like to use it this summer just drop me a PM if your code expires and I'll make it all better. I know there have been a few that have expired.
