Way too reasonable of a suggestion.

Trailered and air conditioned? Those are some first-class issues.

I could learn to love something like what Plake drives, but people clear him space wherever he goes. Bring offerings, too.

I shopped some AWD Siennas. Five year old ones with 70k were about the price of a new Alltrack via cargurus. I went to two dealerships to test drive the vans and literally got sick to my stomach. I just couldn't do it. Better men than me can. God bless em.

My dad pimps around with his old Sienna.

Think of the views. Listen to your stomach.

Joined Costco today. Still a bizarre retail experience. Still have those Arnold Terminator sized 4.99 roasted chickens. Let's see what that 60 bucks does for me. Don't need a new tv. Or an entire case of crappy toxic chips.

The All track is back on my radar.

Popular lunch venue today, though. But, I agree, I'd have to be desperately hungry to stop and eat there.

I walked around and said, oh, yeah, obesity.

Why buy new? These days a Japanese car with 30k on it is barely broken in.

I get Facebook ads from dealerships and see all kinds of lease trade ins with low miles at a fraction of the cost.

Well that Costco isn't impressive. They just want me to go to one dealer, with no price until I get there. Fuck that. BFD. And I ain't calling nobody. You call my ass, and maybe I'll answer.

Cant even hook me up with an Alltrack. Zip.

I'm telling you, around here, there just is not an abundance of All tracks. And basic economics tell me, you know, supply and demand.

Did the email thing a year and a half ago when I bought my 4Runner.

I emailed every Toyota dealer in CO and WY and told them what I was looking for and asked for their best price. I lucked out that seven different dealers had the same truck I wanted (TRD Off Road Premium).

I played the dealers off each other over a day or two. In the end only three dealers were playing and all the others backed out. The lowest cost came in at $300 less than any other dealer could offer at about 11% below MSRP, which is pretty unheard of for a 4Runner in CO. I walked in the next day and wrote the dealer a check, filled out some Patriot Act paperwork and drove off the lot. Towards the end I was having to send screenshots of emails- the dealers didn't believe the others were going so low.

Couple things- I put the max down that I could (I think $7k) on a 2% cash back credit card to get some $$ back. I had cash and didn't need dealer financing, but I ended up financing through a credit union that offered me 1.24% APR. I took the cash and I put in into CDs that are now earning 3.2% APY. So, I'm making about $600 per year in interest arbitrage from my 4Runner being financed. It was my only new car buying experience and was super easy. I'll never negotiate in person going forward. You have so much leverage over email and limited leverage in person.
Yo, I'm buzzed, but did you mention if you bought your 4 Runner NEW or USED?

Denver is the best place in the country to buy a 4 Runner. They sell so many. Well worth the flight.
