Watching the banter on the MMA chats....it's the hype train in effect for Isreal. He's a good, and a freak athlete, but I feel like folks never put enough weight on experience. Kelvin has been in there with the best for a while now. He knows how to close distance and is a master counter striker. Left hand, night night.

Anderson Silva had also been in there with the best in the sport. Adesanya is for real. But, Kelvin usually finds a way. Should be a great fight.

Damn, really?? What’s the promotion, “bare knuckle fighting championship”?? Crazy. Never heard of it. Chris Leben though?? He was always an entertaining fighter, I haven’t heard his name associated with ANY promotion in recent memory.
I’d definitely be all over that PPV if it wasn’t the final four...

Always great to see more Leben. Wouldn't have thought bare knuckle would be great with someone whose primary defense is blocking with his face but he's been winning.
The 4 part YouTube series on how he clean himself up, married a hotty and had a kid is great. Dudes a beast. Amazing that he was diagnosed with a heart condition and basically recovered from it

I'd love to see bare-knuckle MMA. Bare knuckle boxing is sad. Punching folks in the head is dumb from my experience, which is limited. Taking the gloves off would make the MMA game less of a head hunt. I don't think people realize how weaponized the fist is when it's wrapped, and how much even that small glove shuts down the grappling. I think we'd see a lot more kicks, a lot more body work and more accurate punches to the JAW for KOs not reckless punches to the skull, cuts and broken hands.

I think in general a less "Sporty" version of MMA could come back now, more like he first events, now that there is a dedicated fan base. Maybe do duper fights bare-knuckle, with the original lack of rules or at least allow the guard to be more lethal as it used to be with up-kicks and heel strikes and no time limit, or maybe 2 10 minute rounds. It would lead to more finishes of the ground.

Fighters out there to win rounds with mediocre kickboxing can be boring to watch.

Dude that is the greatest story ever lol...I think the Golden Snitch told the story on Rogans podcast about how they sat in the gym for like 6 hours waiting for Jones to return and he was hiding under the ring the whole time. Then when they found out he had been hiding under the ring that whole time & they were super pissed & contemplated going back to the gym to see if Jones took a piss under the ring while he was hiding so they could possibly collect a sample and test it. Fucking great
