Yeah we still got plenty of lift served season left. Apparently it's also possible to get a one ride gondi tix too @ Silver for $18 I might do that as well or instead if there is some good tours you can suggest from there and then back to town.

    Hey Fellers,
Family is moving to CdA. June 23 is our arrival date. Until then I will be making weekend and other day trips to the hills north of me. Picked up a silver and Schweitzer pass for next year.

Most of my touring is in Joseph Oregon and Utah (Logan area mans).

wordbird, I'd be willing to go explore. In that same vane if anyone is skiing Friday, Sat., or Sun., lemme know as I am planning on rolling north and having some fun. The boys hockey season is over until early April when travel hockey starts so I have to get out while I can get away with it.

    Cheers
    mike

beautiful corn on deer ck. summit yesterday,
sunny side softened up fast early afternoon ....

49N delivered sunny sky and oh so soft piste today,
the trees were a mixed bag of chop and
    a few untouched shots,
    total fun!

Well, the freezer is full of jerky, sausage, summer sausage, and ground meat.

I snuck out to Bluewood Friday. Fantastic that every person there was skiing groomed runs and I had all of the tree shots to the left of the lift untouched and deep ALL day. Great tree skiing there as long as the snow is good. And 42 dollar lift ticket to boot. Great day.

Very difficult skating conditions at the foggy basin today. Some faces were shot. Slogging and diversion delayed movement upslope to many lift rides. Tomorrow may be no better.

Amazing morning at Mt. Spokane. 12" new, 21 degrees, bluebird, and no skiing Monday or Tuesday. I had a late start at 7:20 on the up (had to shovel my driveway this morning before I left) and saw some of the earlier dawn patrol groups on their way down, hooping and hollering. Coming down, I was collecting snow mid-thigh. Sweet! When I got to the bottom, I felt a little bad looking at the lineup at Chair 1 watching as we tracked the area. Sorry guys!

This is the track up on the SW ridge that's heavily wind-swept so, not deep here. Went down Hourglass and it was loaded and sweet!

Yeah that crowd was insane... felt like a holiday weekend. I saw bunch of day ticket skiers. Hopefully they made some money today.

After getting off work in the morning, I got there right before 9 and dressed up and in line shortly after. We had our usual crew today and it was a blast. No bad turns all day. Hit south facing front couple times while hordes hit the new chair. Backside stayed good all day and other bc runs were also good despite lower elevation. It’s been awhile since I charge that hard from opening to closing. Best day at mt. Spokane this season.

Driving down at 8:30, the uphill traffic was non-stop, not to mention the cars already at Lodge 1 and the lineup. I knew it was going to be a huge day. If they didn't make money, they never will and I know they do so, I'm not worried for them.

Mt. Spokane is a non-profit so anybody can log onto guidestar.org and see how much money they make, what they paid for the new chairlift, how much they pay their general manager, etc.

Let's hope winter makes another push gentlemen!

Bluewood did not suck today. Never underestimate the power of the freeze thaw cycle.

    That is all.

I went to lookout pass today. Blue bird day with perfect spring snow in the sun and bit crusty groomers in the shade. All in all a great day.

When is the free week at 49n?

Is it free ski week or free ski week? Seems to get confused up there. Watch your skis April 1 - 7.
