Sounds great flying_v. We are staying in Santa Fe tonight. Do you anticipate any potential road issues driving from there to Taos in the morning?

Expect snow on the road as you approach Taos, and for sure in the road from Taos to TSV.

What a great day today. Started with the drive from Santa Fe early this morning. Kept wanting to stop to enjoy the view. Met two locals on the first lift ride this morning that were eager to show us around for the day. The new creamy pow was excellent. Taos Inn trio tonight is the frosting on the cake.

Sorry to miss the_flying_v today. Looking forward to tomorrow.

I don't know how you are driving down. If you go through Monte Vista it is worth taking 15. The cranes are in and a visit to the refuge is well worth it. Bring some binoculars.

^^Hope your thigh is feeling better today. Taos was skiing great yesterday despite the poor viz. It was a ghost town compared to Sunday. We did two laps through the Wild West Glade (silky smooth wind buffed pow) and one down Twin Trees Chute (shin deep pow with some nice slough action). Fun! Looking forward to the sun today.

We tried to see the pueblo on the way back but got turned around by a guard at the entrance. The views were nice on the drive.

    TAOS New Mexico....BETA.....?

I heard a lot of “best day of the season” being thrown around this afternoon around Taos Ski Valley. With awesome company, great snow, and sunshine it’s hard to disagree.

Goniff and Tim enjoying the high desert blues!

Awesome day guys. So stoked to ski with you all. My furloughed time is over and I need to get back to work; what a storm cycle!

Thanks for sharing (hands down) my favorite day of the year. This community is top notch.

Thank you for a great day! Never would have found hidden chute and I’ve skied Taos a lot. Good luck back at work, and I hope to make turns with all of you in the future. Best day of the year for sure.

Many thanks to the_flying_v for playing tour guide today on such an incredible day. He is a model mag ambassador of his home hill and a ripping skier. It was not a knee deep pow day but it was one of my best days due to the great variety of trees, tight, steep chutes, and the seemingly endless soft bumps that we skied today. Uncrowded slopes, bluebird sky and great company made it perfect. Kudos to Tim for skiing Al's Run TTB without stopping for his last run of the day.

Great meeting and skiing with Tomcat51 and Viva.

    TAOS New Mexico....BETA.....?

Kachina opened to hikers this morning and I got pretty lucky to be on my way to Trescow and saw the gate to Kachina open even though the sign at the start of the hike said closed. Got some freshies on K5 after a nice hike.
