Doug was a good guy, sorry for your loss Ice.

I have room at my shop if anyone needs overnight parking accomodations. It’s in West Valley, bout 35-40 minutes from Solitude or Snowbird.

I’m going to try to get Friday off and attend at Solitude, I suppose we should have a Snowbird day and I’ll be there Saturday and Sunday.

The western part of the Moonbeam Lot is usually a safe bet for shenanigans like that.

Thinking of making a last minute call and rolling back to Utardia for this. I need to replenish my brine shrimp collection, and I do have a special place in my heart for Solitude.

    Sorry for your loss...

Looks like I’ll be in for Thursday. The older gromette qualified for IMD championships at snowbasin sat/sun so I’ll be Lapping there is anyone gets over.

I'd say the western end of the Moonbeam lot is the best place, SFB will agree I'm pretty sure (if he has a better idea I'm sure he'll chime in). It's the first Solitude entrance you come to coming up the canyon. Go in the lot and go all the way right as far as you can go and park at the end.

There's a trail/cat track right above there that leads down like 200 feet to the Eagle quad, it's directly above a steep little snow wall like 10-15 feet high along the mountain side. You probably want to park as close to the end and as close to the snow as you can.

If you have to buy tickets you might want to save some walking so try to stop and get them at the Moonbeam lodge (right in front of you when you pull in off the road) and then drive down to the end to gear up etc. You won't be able to get on the quad if you don't have your tickets already.

once in a while there's events down towards that end like demo days and shit with tents and whatnot, no idea what's going on those days, probably nothing, but if there is I'd still go that way in the lot, towards that far corner and towards the hill as close as you can.

Iceman, condolences on the passing of your friend Doug. Looking forward to sharing turns and celebrating his life with those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Not sure where I stand on Dibs list from posts 407/409 but I would greatly appreciate any opportunity at discounted ticket(s) for any and all days/locations as I do not hail from an EpIkonic destination.

Would be great to see you dude!! Make it happen!

Fugitive/BobMc, Jtran10 and I can handle the Alta tourguiding if some folks prefer east Snowbird on Saturday, trying to finagle a ticket somehow. If that doesnt work, we'll meet up on the bypass for party time Apres.

"Alta, I hate that place!" BobMC

If you haven't sampled all that the CCs ofter, sample them all and make your own mind up. Tour guides are helpful for skiing but invaluable for parking.

Only day I have off is Thursday, hope to connect with y'all at Soli.
Will be working on the hill at the Alta the rest; don't know how much tour guiding I'll be able to do, but will be able to sneak a few runs in here and there.
    Looking forward to meeting mags.
    Thanks for hosting op.
