Never had salvage title. If I keep it and repair, plan for liabilty only and drive it into the ground until she wrecks it again.

    Downside to salvage title?
late to the game on this. i'm going through this myself with an older land cruiser (snowbank) that I want to keep. our repair quote via insurance was higher than yours. we chose to cancel the claim because the multi-year surcharge on our insurance plus the deductible did not pencil out when i sat down with the bodyshop and penciled out cheaper options for repairs that would not be covered by insurance.

    ^^^^ update for the mags

getting a check for $3800. I could have taken a salvage title but the auto body shop would not fix a "totaled" car. fuck it, Im over it. out a dam good car and a few $$, shrug the shoulders and life goes on.

I skied powder last week in the San Juans, reset button has been hit.

The 100K bid is kinda telling me you're forced into collector/museum status with the car. You would need to put some money into replacing atrophied parts to make it a true DD but, it ain't cheap enough to wanna put money into and "its only original once" yada yada, but you buy it its yours. do what you want. I'm guessing a minty # matching driver that has enough miles to represent it's been weekended and kept running with basic maintenance/OE OEM parts replacements is, what? 30k? guessing here. I think that's the "driver."

Edit still without looking but after thinking, a better guess for a minty low miles (<50K) driver is like 38-48K.) making up my on trivia question here, help me out Bobby.

Looking around, I was closer on my first guess as to <50K mile potential daily drivers, maybe I'm only seeing the cheap ones. One of the ads I saw had pics with snow on the ground. What a hoot that thing must be in the snow.

He wrecked a car and maybe it spooked him. That's where the Major Spare comes from.

Ive got two interested parties. One guy is very well known.

As far as driving a Norma M30. They use a Nissan 5.6 V8... My Titan has a 5.6 V8... Pretty much the same I'd imagine.
