FYI dumpage continues here at the Carson Valley base of 50. I'm considering skiing the burn scar above Clear Creek...

ride bikes, climb, ski, travel, cook, work to fund former, repeat.
Current snow levels?
Looks like nukage at KW.
24 degrees and probably approaching that much snow in SLT. Also approaching snowfall rates that will shut roads for a while. Plows cannot keep up.
Check the Heavenly Snow Stake Cam for a good idea of what just hit.

One of those days when the little Suby stays put.
I do not envy anybody thinking they will get in tonight. Going to be SLOW.
I'm cool with this, as long as you Kirkwood Bro Brah's stay away from Heavenly when 88 closes- TahoeBc
it's been snowing on and off at 2600' all day
^^^^ yeah friends who are headed up for the week finally conceded last night till wait until at least Saturday.

definitely looks like a fun time: http://www.plumasskiclub.org/
They even have an old timey ski building class at Feather River College
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.
Since you can't get on WB 80 anywhere I don't imagine there's much 80 traffic to turn around. Maybe there are some out of the way ramps that aren't manned; I don't know about that. I know that cars that make it as far as the Donner Lake interchange on Donner Pass Rd are being diverted back onto EB 80. Truckee PD has been trying to keep cars out of Truckee as much as possible when 80 is closed but they're grossly undermanned.
BTW, anyone still pleading with Ullr can put their clothes back on for a while.

Refilling all day at the heave.
avalanche on 50 according to cal trans. might be a bit. Good luck to all the bay area and central valley folk trying to get out here and back for the weekend. Gunna be a nightmare all around.
I wouldn't try to come up here till Sunday? or Monday? I am hearing even if avy control and such is complete, lots of lifts are burried with lift "clearance" issues all around. Going to have to dig out by hand many areas, so very slow for things to open tomorrow. I did hear that Roundhouse opened about 2:15 randomly.

Even sometimes when I'm snowboarding I'm like "Hey I'm snowboarding! Because I suck dick, I'm snowboarding!" --Dan Savage
I purposely avoid full passes and always go for the "silver" or mid level pass so I'm never tempted to even join the holiday shit show.
In regards to the Longboard Races in Johnsville...how would you get there?
Weather reports currently saying snow through Sunday...
Last time I checked Hwy 49 was closed...at least part of it.
And, c'mon, if 80 is closed, then driving 49 would be downright treacherous.

Hwy 20 ain't fairing much better, either...and it's just as treacherous in a snow storm (I've done that and it was not fun)...
