Really curious when Vail is finally going to say screw it and announce a new SQ lift for next year, too. She's getting pretty old...

Chondola FTW! With a massive lodge and 3 different restaurants.

Would be cool to get a workable, reliable way around that mountain.

speaking of chondola i noticed at copper on sunday that the lifties were making people skip the chair after the gondola cabins for "weight distribution" so hopefully they have that one figured out by this weekend if not already. flyer will stop a million times and people will complain on the internet how much the new lifts suck.

I hear it’s a shitshow between those two lifts. Flyer apparently stops nonstop and rolls backward. What the hell is wrong with it?
Why isn’t the company out there 24-7 fixing it?

my friend is a lift ops supervisor and i think he is so fed up with everyone complaining that he has convinced himself nothing is wrong with the lifts. idk i don't buy it though. the lift does seems to go backwards an abnormal amount when it stops and it also bounces like crazy, so much so you can hear people freak out. flyer has always had a lot of stops from a lack of talent but it seems like things are even worse and i guess some of these stops have been pretty lengthy. copper seems to be pretty good at either dodging peoples questions or blaming it on new technology without ever really taking any sort of blame. I have seen poma staff in the top shacks on a few occasions, so i guess they are trying to figure things out but it doesn't really seem to be working. as a rule i try to avoid both of those lifts though.

I am taking an avy 1 course this weekend at CMC. It's too risky heading up in the morning from Denver so I think I am going to try to sleep in the bed of my truck. Does anyone know of places to park in frisco? Is the kayak parking lot okay to camp in? Any tips for not dying of cold? This will be friday-monday.

-if in a topper, crack a window
-boil water right before bed, put it in a water bottle, put it in your sleeping bag

heard the cops wait until 2 3 or 4 am and start pounding on cars and rv's waking people up and telling them to move on cause it's illegal to sleep in cars etc
I know a couple spots that would work but not sure I'd list them on the internet
