Saw them at OR/SIA this week. There are some other minor changes to the ski/walk lever, heel, etc. I didn't get a chance to talk with anyone about it, though. It's still a DIN 12, so I'm not sure exactly what they're going for. Basically admitting that the six springs in the standard Kingpin toe are no more effective than two?

The biggest difference will be the M Werks has carbon fiber infused plastic throughout. This supposedly makes it stronger and lighter. You could certainly feel that it was noticeably stiffer trying to flex the heel prongs vs the standard kingpin. The standard option is still available more as a price point thing as far as I can tell.

The FT version has a much more substantial sole vs the NF. I almost pulled the trigger on the NF until I saw the proto FT.

Not sure on the price, though.

Dunno if there's anything like it on the market or not...but...talkin' to my forest worker buddies like fallers, tree planters, tree spacers, block layout techs, etc. a few years back, I think there'd be some market opportunity for intuition liner based more technically designed, custom molded plastic shell option, waterproof caulk boots.

I’d suggest peeps in that industry to reach out directly to intuition. circa 1998-2001, intuition used to be into this general idea. Lock, owner of Marmot Mtn Works, convinced them to make ones for use in plastic mountaineering. Getting it to happen did not seem too problematic at that time.

I am a guy (from Poland :P) who tested new Black Diamond Jetforce PRO avalanche airbag. Also someone here posted my review (in Polish ). I already translated this review to English (*but I am not able to post URL here :P).

Anyone know more specifics of Black Diamonds airbag pack lineup for next year. I ran across this website, in some language I can't read without google translate... It shows what I've seen mentioned, appears to be modular system with a base unit and different zip on packs (kind of like the ABS system?). However, these seem to use actual batteries, not the new Alpride E1 supercapacitor system. They are lighter than the current BD packs, but far from light. I was really hoping they were going to make a larger version of the their new E1 pack... Like a 32-35 liter version...

Well, yeah actually... The link I posted shows the modular pack is a battery pack, not super capacitor. So I'm specifically wanting to know if they are making a bigger capicitor pack (which I don't believe is clarified anywhere on the pages you mentioned)

Modular packs will be available in Jetforce Pro and Jetforco BT (for PIEPS).
ZIP-ONs called "BOOSTERS" will be available in 10L, 25L, 35L and 25L Splitboard Version. My suggestion - buy 35L option (3000g entire backpack).

There is NO way to remove "system" from base of the backpack.

Can't say for BD, but I talked with Scott rep and he told me E1 system will be fully detachable and Scott will be selling backpacks without system itself. Not a size booster, but still. So I guess BD backpacks will also share this feature

Nope, there is a SMALL chance that you can buy "empty" Bakcpack. From my point of view - there is no need to swap backpacks. 30L is nice and light.

Here you can find "short review" in English for Jetforce PRO / Jetforce BT (PIEPS). The only difference between BD and PIEPS will be...colours .
