Went up for sidecountry on Friday my Rutschblock failed on a 3 and roller balls from warmth as I filled it in, needless to say I bailed. FYI

First day at Schweitzer was a success. Learned that you can’t trust everything on the internet. Disappointed by small size, lack of interesting terrain, no tree skiing (well there would be but the alder is blocking it), long lift lines, and unfriendly staff. This place really sucks.
(Did I do that right?)
The steep cornish snow on quicksilver made things slightly tolerable.

52 degrees at the Loup Loup today. Hello inversion.
Alders aren't trees? Unfair. They only block like 85% of the terrain. Sure, they're growing faster than the snowpack now, but they'll die eventually. Great skating conditions today, hopefully you got to appreciate some of our uphill portions. Haters claim it's flat but that's just the fog--when you can see far enough ahead you notice the upslopes; really helps with navigation.

Prior to your googling advice, I spoke to a few business owners in the valley as they were operating their shops and had mentioned to me financially, they had no means to hire employees. The restaurant in town I visited was operated solely by multiple generations of their family. One of the owners mentioned ASC attempted to develop an area in the valleys in the 70's - 80's but said the people in the valley chose to be poor by the decisions they made in denying the development. I honestly thought they were full of crap about Aspen Ski Co because how many times have I heard Vail/Intrawest/ASC etc is looking to buy XYZ. FKNA that business owner was correct.

Early Winters would have been really awesome, especially if meant that Washington Pass would have been plowed all winter.

I don't know if Mount Adams fits in here. My son climbed the North Ridge this weekend. Could not ski it all. Some sections were too icy and rimed. Would not mind him having partners if any of you PNW mags are into sufferfests.
off your knees Louie
Really?! This is disappointing. Was hoping to get up it soon.

Back at Schweiz this weekend to see my girl run SG/DH.
Of course it was mixed precip all night and the lots are full of slop but its blue skies this morning.
Move upside and let the man go through...
^ I was thinking about you when I saw everyone training earlier this week wondering if you were back around these parts. Will keep an eye out for the fastest skier on the mtn.
49N was sunny, soft and pushy today;
shadowed runs were firm and edgy;
hello springtime ....

Silver sucked... like SUCKKKEEEDDDDD for the first run down Gem and lower continental then slowly improved as it got chewed up. By the end things were fast and carvy. SO MUCH FUN.
That being said north glades fuqqin rocked! Good day out with 2FUNKY and bourbon with Bdog for the last few runs.
