I shovel out a nice place behind the house for the dog to poop, but she insists on going up the hill and well off the path to go. She doesn't break through the surface crust but I go in up to my knees if I go to pick it up. Guess I'll worry about it in the spring.

I hear ya. Our toy poodle would not go out in the foot and a half of snow we got over the weekend. He's not even a foot tall at the shoulder. So I shoveled. And then he peed on the deck. I guess my mistake was also shoveling the deck.

One of the most annoying things that ever happened to me was when the hood on the old dump truck I used for firewood delivery popped open and crashed into the windshield while I was doing 50 coming into Truckee on 89N near Alder Creek Road. I was fully loaded with 3 cords of oak. Krystal Kartwright was in the passenger seat asleep when I started hollering. The look on her face when she woke up and saw the hood was amazing. Somehow I got the rig slowed and she guided me to the side of the road by hanging out the window. She tried to shut the hood by hanging on it but the spring had sprung backward so I had to smash it back with my falling ax.

OMG. we were driving from Spokane down to Pullman to see a concert in my buddies beater Datsun 510. Tweeting our brains out on mushrooms when his hood came loose.

Pulled over and had to seriously sit and mellow out before throwing the hood in the ditch and driving to the show.
