Where do you ski? I know there are places that do boot packing early season, but none of the areas around here--Squaw, Alpine, Sugar Bowl do it, at least AFAIK. Sounds like a nice idea. Of course our semi-maritime (today double maritime) snow pack is different than the Rockies.

1st world problem but nevertheless.

Dropped by the coin op carwash today cause it was in the 40s and my truck was dirty.

There is a line, no surprise. I queue up and the guy in front pulls in, rinses his fucking Pontiac and then proceeds to bucket wash the fucking thing including using some doily fucking little brush to do his rims.

15 minutes of that bullshit before another bay opens up and I wash my truck.

Sandwich place across from my office recently raised its prices. It used to work out to just under $9 including tax so I've give them $10 and drop the buck and change in the tip jar. Now it comes out to about $9.70 with tax. Which leaves me in the situation above. Its unfortunate for the staff because lots of people now just tip the 30c rather than the dollar.
