It’s all good. I’ll figure them out or they’ll sell quick.
Storm chasing in southern Colorado for the next few days maybe a deep day and they’ll click.

Try a serious detune outside of the taper before you sell them, if you haven’t tried it yet.

I have detuned them. What do you mean outside of the taper?

Btw...I’m going to say the quiver is finally “done” at this point.

I may be in Summit County the week of Feb. 3-9 and have been dying to try some ON3P gear. Anyone know if a shop in or around the Breck area has rentals with bindings that fit Hawx Ultra XTD touring boots?

I meant detune aggressively fore and aft of the widest part of the ski, especially on the outside edge (which obviously has the widest point offset to be further back than the inside edge). But the RES means most of the tip is reverse sidecut, so you may have to detune a bit farther into the ski than other pow skis.

But I didn’t read your earlier post about having tried all the tips and tricks, so maybe you just don’t click with them.

I live in the area and I’m not aware of any demo fleets sadly. I emailed on3p and they didn’t have a knowledge of anything. They mentioned they might have some skis around Crested Buttle later in the year.

Did the same for my area where they don’t have a shop presence. They replied within 5 mins, super helpful. Definitely hit them up about demo days/when fleets might be swinging through

Leaving tomorrow and trying to decide between Snowmass/Aspen, Wolf/Silverton, or Alta/Solitude.

Thanks guys! It's probably not destined to be for this trip, but I'll hit them up.

Back to tuning chat - my K108s are still on the factory tune. I love them and have no desire to change how they ski. Will my shop be able to tell that they came from the factory at 1/1 or do I need to specify? Very good/reputable shop fwiw. Not sure if I'm a beater for never asking what my edge angles are being done at or if this shop is just good so it has never been a problem.

What is this ski rack wizardry? At first I thought you just have them hanging on the toe piece, but some of them don’t line up..

Looks like he has them hanging off the toe pieces on two levels (alternating skis) to stagger the brake arms. There are two slots on his wood rack, too.

But I'd love a look at the design and what you're hanging the toe off. I envision it's some sort of curved piece of wood that looks like a blank boot toe welt on a metal shaft that slots into the wood rack...

Am I correct that with Powtron's "retirement" there are no Colorado demos. The calendar on the website shows quite a few demos in I-dee-ho and Montucky. Of course this could prompt a trip to Bridger, which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world ;-)

Second question: is the demo fleet WTR compatible this year? I believe Iggy said it is.

Third: Are there any C&D's in the demo fleet (WTR compatible)?

Assuming "yes" to #3, all I have to do is time the storm cycle in Montucky.

    Thanks!

Any Tahoe Mags have the new C&D? Really want to try it out sometime. Happy to swap runs for my 191 Praxis Lhasa Fats or Kartel 116

I would drive many miles to demo C&Ds - especially if it's a place I love to ski and there's some semblance of a dump.

I don't seem to recall any Colorado mags driving C&Ds (didn't even bother to ask, since I run with WTR and a 296 BSL). I guess I'm asking now ;-)

    I have 182 GPOs (Vipecs - 297), 182 Qs if they're not sold (Pivots - 296), and 182 Down CD 114s (Pivots - 296) to offer.

    ^^^ this ^^^

I break out a mill bastard - start by making 'em round at the tip/tail, and progressively sharper - ending up as a dull edge at the taper point ... using this as a starting point.
