I'm amazed at the physical transformations this hill undergoes.

Today was very challenging off piste. Some of the very worst skiing I've ever had. Trap crust on mank interspersed with petrified ski tracks. Groomers were fkn fast, tho.

Started the day on these cause I thought the mank-crust would be skiable ....

...it was, barely, with tiring jumpturns, while dodging fossilized fucking chunder and tracks. Laughably bad. Changed to skinnies and enjoyed the technique enhancement. Couple little avenues got scraped into barely-chalk by the afternoon. Ski-on-the-chair crowd, maybe 30. Ran into alto a couple times. Better air was enjoyed while on chair 2.

    And it will turn around.

Tickling the Giddy bone with the description, Norse.

Sounds like quite the Bronco ride.

So excited to enjoy that view, especially the last shot.

    with this in mind,

i felt like it would be a worthy gesture to donate the proceeds of the 19BBI@Alpental raffle to the Run For Hope organization. 100% of the funds donated go towards Children’s Hospital research for the cure to childrens brain cancer. 100%

Sorrybro will chime in with more details and general information about this cause and the great work they do.

thanks for playing along and any tchotchkes/art/gear etc... you’d like to donate to the raffle, send me a pm

I am overwhelmed. Thank you so much for thinking of this cause.

Run of Hope is a non-profit organization that donates 100% of donations directly to pediatric brain tumor research at the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital. The research doctor's get direct benefit of these donations to start new trials to make the treatment of brain tumors easier on patients and develop cures for the types of tumors that presently do not have any successful treatments. I have toured the research facilities and met many of the doctors and lab assistants and you will not find a more dedicated group of loving humans who work long hours for not much pay to attempt to help children.
Pediatric brain cancer is the most deadly type of cancer in children and is severely underfunded, so organizations like Run of Hope mean so much for the path to treatments that don't have long term adverse affects to children's health and day to day life.

THANK YOU again for thinking of this cause with the raffle. My son spoke about skiing all through treatment last winter as he wasn't able to get in any ski days. His two visits (so far) to the mountain this year have been filled with happiness and smiles. He tells me all the time that he is so happy to get to ski again.

BBI has always been a gathering of some of the best people I know. Online persona or not, every person I have met has been gracious, fun, and amazing. The type of people who I'm proud to call "ski buddies". Can't wait to see you guys this year!

I shared some runs today with Flowing and family and ACH and my kids were all smiles.
