PSA: just found some minty 189 Billy Goats on craigslist: https://reno.craigslist.org/spo/d/ca...785533632.html
Sadly these ones won't work for me because I need to mount my own pivots on there for a 325 BSL, but someone get em!!!
Get them and plug them with either hardwood dowels or 1000-oaks' aluminum screw method.
If at all in doubt about pullout, use helicoils or inserts. Done!

Will there be any changes to the Jessie line next year?
i went through the same thing you did a few months ago, directional skier who noted the rec mount point on the K108 was much further forward than anticipated
thanks to the input from ON3P and the great folks on this board who, as directional skiers, for the most part mounted the K108 on the rec point with fantastic results
i mounted on the line and have to say this is the funnest ski in my quiver. it does require you to ski more centered/balanced fore/aft with your feet but you wont notice it after you've destroyed all the pow, blasted through the crud and are in search of soft snow again
the most constant aspect of the K108 that i notice daily is that it begs to be played with, i find myself constantly on piste edges and dipping into the trees on groomers back to the lift
Just a little more Kartel stoke
Yeah my mounting point looks really far forward also, but at -0.5cm on Tele it feels good, maybe I could have a little less ski in the tip, but maybe more detune will mellow the grab out. A good travel ski, but I am pining for some soft snow.
- I am here for the stoke
I’m about to post some mint OG 191 Caylors for sale...start lining up 🤪
You should have been here yesterday!
My first few days on the BGs were...challenging. Finally did a detune on tips and tails and they livened up a ton and became much more comfortable in chopped up powder. Looking for more days and fine tuning, but I think I'm growing into them.

What additional detuning (if any) are people doing for C&Ds?
I took a file to the edge the entire length. Lightly underfoot, but still took it down. Followed w/ series on gummies tip to tail too. Given these are soft-snow-only for me, haven’t noticed be a bad thing. Love my C&D’s! Hoping the storm tonight/tomorrow dumps and Monday is as good as I’m hoping.
Can anyone tell me how the Kartel 108s measure? The 181cm....I’ve heard ON3P measure long.
Along the base? And tip to tip straight pull.
Thx

I love big dumps.
Pretty sure they measure 181, the difference is everybody else measures short, so it probably similar to a 184 or 185 in other brands.

yup, they measure 181.something, straight pull from end to end. I find it very odd that their way of measuring is not the industry norm, but then it probably makes too much sense.
Hm, perhaps I should have detuned my BGs a bit more prior to selling them. Oh well. There's always 2020/the next pair![]()
Nice pic cstefanic!
Those looks good, can't wait to get a pair of shifts on my BGs. Had holes for sollys so I put a pair on to ski them for now.
Common sense. So rare today in America it's almost like having a superpower.
Weight penalty for sure. But in NW cement not another ski I’d rather tour on. The trip down makes it alllll worth it.
