Posting this makes me feel like Booby Stainless, but it seems appropriate seeing as how you're doubling down on the "I've got a lot of problems with you people" tack.

Actually, now that I think about it, is this your Festivus? When are the feats of strength?

^^^ definitely fuck you to you
    Action>Reaction

How many adults have you told to fuck off straight to there face in real life? What happened. You say you are a big dude, maybe people are physically afraid of you. Word to the wise, you say that to the wrong kinda crazy and it's on.

I've know plenty of people in my life that are just hard as fuck. Life wears on 'um pretty quick. They get up into their 40s and realize they really can't bond with people and their shell starts to crack. Health issues, addiction, depression...all of that.

It is your own life. You control it. Doesn't seem like from what you post here it is going in the direction you want it to. It is a big mean world out there. None of it is in anyway fair.

It is self-fulfilling, if you think it is you against the world then it probably will be.

You sent me a PM, I've been busy but I'm just going to piggyback off norse here. Your PM was civil and seemed to have a lot of excitement about the possibility of moving out, etc.

The sugar momma thread was funny. Were you actually being serious? We all took it as a joke.

You should listen to Norse here. There's a lot of gear buying and lusting that goes on but the vast majority of maggot gear whores I know have a really solid income/wealth... like Dental Surgeon level. From what a gather you have the income of a first year, part time Dental Tech. I'm stoked on the deal with Pivots, but damn dude those things are brand new! I figured that they'd at least a little bit beat up. I know they cost almost $500 new... dude you can't take losses like that on gear constantly.

The rest of us are buying used up swiss cheese scraps.

Take this from a guy who gets off on buying nice things... I have admitted I have a problem and took steps to have accountability and transparency with a few trusted people. I enjoy buying things. When I have stress, I start looking at shit to buy. I get a mental release when the new thing arrives. But it's short lived and I soon want more. I'd say it's a bit like a gambling addiction. Listen to me: Shred your credit cards, close any credit lines, delete your paypal account. If it's not in your bank account, it's not yours to spend.

Sell all skis but one, sell your motorcycles, move out of mom's house and start behaving like a man.
and don't go buy a fuckin' new truck or some shit. I moved out of my parents house with $500 to my name, a $1000 Jeep Cherokee with 250k miles and a 20 hour a week ski instruction job. I haven't moved back since.

Yeah, I got a lot of cool gidgets and gadgets and truck projects and a camper and a land cruiser and new tires and 10 pairs of skis and blah blah blah. But all that is a recent thing. I lived near poverty for 7 years trying to build a life I wanted. It's just been in the last few years I've gotten closer to where I've wanted to be. A lot of the shit I have has been bought at incredible deals or purchased outside of my normal income by treating a hobby more like a side hustle or micro-business. The nice camper for instance was bought after buying 4 other campers at low prices and selling later at a profit after lots of sweat equity and upgrades were done. Same with the trucks. Before I got a nice truck I drove a lot of $500 - $1000 jalopies that needed a lot of work, that I did myself. Each truck was sold at a profit (without considering my labor fixing them.) Rinse lather repeat.

One could argue I'm still not in place to buy gear and shit and I should be a more diligent saver/investor. I had a period where I went pretty nuts buying crap but I've toned it down. I now have a budget and if it's outside the budget, I don't buy it. Even if it's a "great deal".

Support yourself with the relationships you develop... it takes work, empathy, and thick skin.
I've lived in 1 place for 10 years now, has taken a long time to get connected with the community. If you move to a mountain or beach town, most of the "locals" aren't really willing to invest in you until you've been there for 2-3 years.

And if you keep calling MY FRIENDS on TGR "assholes" - you're the asshole. Some of my best, most trusted, close, meaningful relationships have developed from this place. Every IRL interaction i've had was nothing but warm and friendly. It's just a bunch of grown up ski bums who have real jobs and families connecting with friends. The wealth of knowledge and life experience can be intimidating sometimes. At a BBI you're likely to rub elbows with top level finance people, developers of all kinds, engineers, legit dental surgeons, lawyers who have more hours in a courtroom than you've been alive, mad scientists, dope growers, accomplished mountaineers, fathers, world travelers, retired SOF operators, etc etc

So fuck you and your self-centric world view. Go live your life. Develop some relationships with people. Live somewhere for more than a couple months. But don't come here and shit on everyone because you can't handle the tone.

I found the chains I bought not fitting to be very annoying when I needed them at 6am in a freezing rain storm yesterday.

Not sure if was you or someone else but when I was thinking about becoming a dirt pimp house flipper you guys were like, "hey dumbass, if you have this great job/company situation that you can grow and make you more money, why are you ignoring that for being a slumlord." I took it to heart, so thanks. It's benefited me a lot.

Such a forum would be awesome. Threads should be moved there and locked instead of deleted. Art deserves display.

That's low, even for this place. I am impressed.
