Dude, thicken up that skin! Some of my earliest threads here are super embarrassing and I got absolutely pummeled. And as much as I now HATE my user name, I've never changed it, or deleted even one embarrassing post or thread. It's all part of growing. I own who I was and now who I am.

That's the thing about all the "assholes" here. We may have fun giving each other grief, but it's (A) all in good fun, and (B) might actually be constructive. Thanks to the mags here giving me massive loads of crap for years (they still do), it's actually helped me a ton over the years. Just own up to it and move on! Just like the older ladies you seek, you REALLY gotta learn how to roll with the punches. Learn to laugh (even if its at your own expense), learn to live, and with our guidance you may even learn to get some sweet cougar lovin' too!

Sure, there is a pile-on mentality here, but honestly it's in every forum I have ever been on. And 50 people? Get over yourself. I doubt that many people are really aware of who you are here, and even less are guilty of ganging up on you.

Over my time here, I have had a few people who seemed to get a hard on for me, attacked me wherever I posted. I either ignored them or -- in a couple of cases where the person otherwise seemed cool -- I sent them a PM asking if they had some problem with me. And I spent some time trying to be self-aware about my own behavior. In fact, I do that all the time. It seems like it's something that you're lacking, because all I see you do is blame other people for being mean to you.

The best thing to do is complain.

You think WE were bad? That was nothing. You would get absolutely eaten alive if you ever joined the military. That's where I first grew my thick skin, but then the oilfield finished me off. Hang out with some drillers sometime. Then you'll REALLY learn how brutal your peers can be. That's why pretty much everything is like water on a duck's back to me.
