Yeah... that would be fucking brilliant.

Refuse sale. Get fired. Then have the next salesmen sell him the same cars.

Jesus... You really are unintelligent. How the fuck do you run a business? Do you get the criminal history of all your customers first? Not sure of the legality of doing such a thing but I am sure there is a legal hassle in there somewhere. I don't sell firearms. I sell cars.

Do you really feel it's the job of a car salesman to hand out a punishment 4 years after the incident? The whole thing went to court and they got a divorce. She got about 15 million bucks. I'd say the situation was handled by the appropriate professionals.... You know lawyers and a judge... Not car dealers.

Call me crazy... but you don't know shit about running a business.

Depends on the model but in the 5k per month range for a 12 month 1k mile lease.

That's typically with about 10-20k due at signing.

Is that 1k miles per month? or per year?

Seems kinda low either way. Just hitting Stowe each weekend will put me over that. So, how much per mile if I go over the 1k limit?

1k per year. If I remember correctly I think it was 1.50 or 2 bucks a mile.

I don't lease cars anymore as Im not at a franchise dealer.

Should I fill the tank before handing over the car I sold? The girl looked at it yesterday and we’re going to meet at her bank on Saturday to finalize everything. It’s got a 1/4 tank in it now. She seems nice. Cute grad student.

Take a breath and chill. It was a hypothetical question, I wasn't suggesting background checks. I was just curious if you'd do business with a guy who you knew had been convicted of domestic assault. You answered the question.

Are you suggesting that people that are convicted of crimes should be refused service?

Agree with you that it's a good thing that grandpa was armed. And it's sad that it was probably predictable (that 2011 was a plea to reduce a more serious charge...no wonder wife 1 got $15 mil).
Not saying that you should or shouldn't sell to him. That's your call. If you'd happened to know he was a wife beater you would have felt morally bad having him as a customer. but you still would have sold to him (instead of handing him off to another dealer). That says you value money a lot. Whether society values money is beside the point.

So $70-$80k to look like a douche for a year. Sounds about right.
