Sunny. High near 52, with temperatures falling to around 46 in the afternoon. Southeast wind 13 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

Think I'll head over to the Tin Cup GC & Country Store and get 9 in. Should be fun.

Things I learned today. My 220 yd 3 wood hit into a 40 mph head wind could balloon and go 140 yds. My 100 yd wedge hit with a 30 mph tail wind might get knocked down and go 90 yds. 7 iron with a hard draw and a 30 mph cross wind will go 150 yds to where it's aimed, on a rope. 2 doubles, 2 pars. Plumb bobbing in the wind sucks but I made a few 10+ footers that I worked hard for.

Couple of guys skied that cliff face last year. I'll stick with golf.

all the city owned courses are on my card but i have only played rose city maybe 4 times since i started playing golf. it's nothing special but a good break from playing redtail, eastmoreland and heron lakes once in a while. they're all about the same difference from my place.

    Fore! Who's playing golf, yo-

    Thank you!
    I LOVE my new clubs.

Black was closed (not that I was going to play there) and next best thing was red.
(There are black, red, blue, yellow and green. Difficulties in that order)
Walk only, so I rented their push cart and walked 18.
(Living in a small two bedroom apartment, we don’t have room for a cart)

Mid 40’s but I was sweating.

Played alone front 9 and ran into a local 3 some who were all good players and took me in for back 9.
One of them was a solid female player and it was amazing to watch.
She’s the one who has remote controlled cart that followed her around like a puppy.

Most par 4s were over 400 plus yards even from the ladies’ tee (which I got corrected to “forward tee”).
It was impossible for me to get on the green in two strokes.
I hit 103 and I am okay with that.

Couldn’t get enough of my new clubs so I hit another 90 balls at a driving range after the game.

Fitter wanted me to play some rounds and come back to report.
After the first 18, I feel like I need few more clubs.
I need something to cover 120-130 and 135 to 150.
I am in love with my lob wedge now.

Black is looong. Played it a week before the 2002 Open with thick rough. Had to chip out of all fairway rough if you missed it 🤦♂️

130 slope and 6200 yds, From the reds!! Tin Cup GC is 5500 from the whites. I don't like tee times with an a.m. in them and managed to be the last out at Tin Cup today with the Mrs. She was on her game. 180ish off the tee with a draw. +1 on the par 3's. She even talked some trash when I put one in the pond with a wedge. Gonna miss this place.

No but the wife IS talking about van life lately. Alas, The Tin Cup GC & Country Store was sold to the town to make a park of some kind. a good deal for the current owners. Nice folks so that's good. The store and course will close. on the 28th. I stop in there 5 times+ a week so it's like losing friends. It could be a great place to use the 300 balls in my shag bag this winter. I love to hit balls out into a field then walk to hit them back.
