    Shit that annoys you

Couldn’t take my distance vision getting worse any longer...so last week I go to eye doctor and get contacts.....

Since Monday, have been dealing with some kind of infection in my left eye....upper eye lid is swollen/hurts like hell.

Annoying....I’d take blurry street signs over than this pain in the eye anyday....lol

Yes, using them only for driving/at night. They are also annoying....lol

Edit- called Teledoc and got an antibiotic eyedrop prescription. That is not annoying.

I just got glasses for distance. Also for night driving. They are annoying but better than the alternative.

Drug ads with language like this:

"do not give to children less than 6 and it shouldn't be given to children 6 to 18 as it may harm them."

WTF? Just say "No" to anyone under 18.

Also: I was in a store today that was playing Christmas music.

Dudes who shake your hand like it's a contest of strength. Fuck me. I broke my finger in August and it's never gonna heal if this keeps up. I may need to start bowing like the Japanese.

I had the same thought as I get over a broken finger too. Goddamn it's annoying.

I jacked up my hand last season skiing. Thought is was almost healed 3 months later. Shook hands with a buddy of mine and remembered that he was a heavy handed shaker as I put my hand out. Heard a "CRUNCH" as we shook hands. 4 months later, still having problems. Made holding the bars on the bike painful all summer.

Can't it just be a firm one and not like I stuck my hand in a bench vise?

So, I am waiting for a school bus that is stopped to pick up kids (I am in the right lane, school bus is in left facing me with his stop sign/lights on)
Some douchebag comes up behind me, passes me on the left, drives around me, and proceeds to drive straight by the school bus.
Where do these fuckers learn to drive?

Yes. Firm. But not crushing. This isn't a fucking competition...

Maintain a business/personal email account (for direct contact, not a social media logon) and one for retail and social media

Won’t kill all spam but reduces it significantly

No, it’s actually just as bad

Just do it right...grab the hand like you mean it and look the person in the eyes

    It’s not a contest unless you’re at a media weigh-in for a title bout

That exact scenario killed 3 kids in Indiana a week ago. Stuff like that makes me want to get a dashcam. I would love nothing more than to hand over footage of something like that to local cops. Should be a BIG fine and mandatory suspended license for at least 30 days.

Handshaking doesn't have to be crush or be crushed. The best defense is to flex your hand before contact and use a reasonable medium firm/loose grip. By flexing you make it hard for the vice grippers to fuck you up and your grip never feels limp. I haven't tried it while recovering from broken fingers but it keeps my arthritic wrists from being tormented.
Damn, we're in a tight spot!

I don't get why ads have any legal language at all. Squeeze 20sec worth of it into the last 3 seconds of ad and you can't understand it anyways.

Lots of these drug ads are for prescription drugs so you'd think it would be the doctor and pharmacist who would explain the details and risks. And, you know, NOT prescribe it to children in the first place if it isn't safe for them.

A lot of (most?) native Americans and a lot of Hispanics hereabouts give a soft handshake. Ya gotta try not to be such a white guy. I refuse to judge people by their handshake...unless it’s damp.

I usually agree. However, on the flip side, we just hired a young woman who had a strong yet soft and warm (and dry) handshake. It was quite unexpected and made a positive impression.

Giving hi-fives hurts too. For some reason a fist bump doesn't hurt.
