And, the people sitting there look like they have never been to a game, so it is either that or a few tickets to Hamilton for the evening's entertainment. Probably hang on every word coming out of Joe Buck's mouth at home, too.
That should be filed under the what annoys you thread. It annoys the shit out of me. So many true fans can't go to the game while those corporate bs $$$ seats sit empty.

It's like they figured out how to move the corporate box down to the best seats.

    Bag of dicks, eat them.
we average more fans at home and on the road.

Early starts and traffic make it late to fill but Chavez gets rocking, trust me.
I have been to the Ravine( with Arty50!) Yankee stadium and Fenway ( 2x) this year, I will put our fan base up with any.

As esteemed Dodger fan O'shea Jackson once said:

"Life aint nnothing but bitches and money"

there are def some corp seats behind the plate in Chavez, but a lot of old school LA royalty and lifer fans. Fenway seems the same.
As Arty pointed out to me Marlin man is at least four rows back @ the Ravine, not front row like many places

Citi and NEWYankee Stadium were built to capture that corporate Dollar. That dope restaurant those tix @ Yankee Stadium gives you access to def impact seat time.

    doubtful.
They have made a lot of upgrades in recent years. New seats, new lights & HD scoreboards. As I mentioned, I was just there and it works.
I spent a fair amount of time in Shea and Old Yankee stadium and both were broken for many reasons. I still think Yankee Stadium could have been retrofitted and made to work ( more ladies rooms, better corp boxes, etc) but it needed help.
Chavez seems fine. Fenway too, if you arent behind a pole...

I rarely watched a game from the upper deck at the old Yankee Stadium, but got a ticket up there to a sold out playoff game in 2000, and was pretty damned appalled at the men's room situation up there when crowded. It was pretty bad.

I'm betting that the even the Fenway loyalists have a hard time defending the cavern like locker rooms there. That's actually a big deal when trying to attract free agents. Gotta have a flat screen in every dressing area these days for the stahs.

It's all been pimped out Benny. Lots of money has been spent. Even the visitors clubhouse is pretty nice now.

Yeah, but, they're still stuck with a small space, right?

Its not that small. It’s pretty spacious actually. I don’t think it’s cost them any potential free agents at the very least.

I've been a Sox fan since before I could walk. Been to Fenway 2-3 dozen times, 5-6 games in the last as many years and I can truly say we RS faithful got a screwing when they decided to stay on Yawkey instead of building a new stadium when they had a chance. The renovations make it ok but after going to Baltimore and Arizona, Fenway is a shame.

Well it kinda got decided for them, they were all into a new place, but after 2004 it seemed like sacrilege to people. There's a good documentary I saw on that whole thing, I can't remember what it was called I'll see if I can find it again.

Well, maybe more so that baseball is much less of a black sport than forty years ago.

Couldn’t disagree more. Fenway is a gem and I’m so glad they didn’t tear it down and replace it with a cookie cutter modern stadium with “faux” pieces from the original. Back about ten years ago, when the design was unveiled, they were talking about having the new one have a new green monstah and also have some of the original funky dimensions. To me, that’s like designing and building a state-of-the-art tower but plastering 1800s architecture on the facades. I feel what they’ve done with the original, by realigning some seats and adding new seats (Green Monstah seats, Sam Adams deck, etc) has been amazing.

Sure, some newer stadiums are nice but you cannot replace Fenway. Sorry, you just can’t.

Yeah, but, I'll bet another 20,000 seats would buy some pretty good players in this modern world.

Well we will agree to disagree. A third of their seats are obstructed in some way. It's asinine that the right field seats face the bullpen and if you try to lean forward to look down the line to see what's actually going on at home you block everyones view to your right. They need to loose two to three hundred seats and redesign the left and right field box seats.

Yeah, man. A dumpy stadium full of people who couldn't get into one of the half a dozen good colleges in L.A. Ugh.
