Okay, that’s what I was thinking, Purdy sure that advise was for mounting metal skis with traditional screws.

So the install is the same, drill with 6.5mm bit, tap, and install BF inserts.

I mounted tyrolia adrenalines on rens. Many thanks to the tips and "ways". Don't be afraid to mount demos first to dial in your mount point, then do a second mount with your preferred binding (w/ epoxy).

Two pairs just got inserts for shifts.

My goal was to not have to adjust the bindings between mounts and I think I did it. Mounted for 310 BSL vs my normal 317.

And a Swiss cheese experiment on my gunsmokes. They have a sheet of metal in there so I’m not concerned; just stoked I made it fit!

Correct 186. That’s my DD. And the BG is for deeper days or days on larger terrain. Just moved from Colorado and I’m curious if we will have the terrain here in Washington/Idaho to open up the 189s in space.

That’s what I’ve heard, the 184s were money in the trees; but I wanted more stability in more open terrain.

Anyone in the Front Range who can recommend a shop to test non-indemnified binders? Seems like 957 Equipes in such good nick could probably still be skiable. Picked these up today for $15 and thinking I may re-use the binders on some early season skis. Of course, I'll be doing the mounting myself.

Of course. Poles, skis, bindings and there are even some vintage Solly rear entry boots that came along with them.

Yeah. I test adjusted everything today and all works like new, AFDs are all in place. May need regreasing in a few spots. They look barely used. Bonus points that they'll look sick on the grey & yellow Volkl Karmas I picked up for early season bashing.

Any reason to even think about removing inserts on a ski if switching bindings and there is no intention of ever reusing the inserts again
Seems like there is risk of damage, vs just filling them with some waterproof removable silicone caulk and forgetting about them.
