A clerk at a cannabis dispensary in Shannonville, Ont., used a bong to fight off a gang of would-be thieves who attacked him with bear spray, Tyendinaga police say.
Police say four men arrived at the Recreational Cannabis Farmers Market on Old Highway 2 in a white Mazda SUV around 4 p.m. last Thursday.

While one waited in the vehicle, three of the suspects entered the store with their faces covered.
A security videos shows the suspects approaching a man and woman standing behind the counter, then squirting them with what appears to be bear spray. The male clerk came from behind the counter and fought the men off, swinging a bong at them until they fled from the store.

2nd incident in 2 weeks

The men fled escaped in their vehicle were last seen westbound on Old Highway 2. OPP forensic investigators attended the scene to collect evidence.
Det.-Const. Nathan Leland of the Tyendinaga Police Service said it's not the first time dispensaries in the area have been targeted.
"This would be our second robbery in the past two weeks," Leland said.

We may dislike allowing entry for those with felony convictions, but if there is evidence of consumption but no felony conviction, or if you are employed in the wine/beer/spirits business there is probably no issue in crossing the border. Jury is still out for the fate of Canadian shareholders of those blooming weed businesses that are publicly traded heading across the border too. Are they going to ask to see our investment portfolios now?

So if an American citizen from a green state leaves the US, and is asked if they smoke pot by an American customs officer, and they say yes... anything going to happen?

The CBC report I just heard suggests if you invest in a "green" company that you could be considered a "trafficker" and banned from entering. It's not really tit-for-tat. Tit for tat is criminal record you can't enter the US from Canada; or Canada from the US. This has been in place forever.

So (as has been already mentioned), are they now going to ask to see your investment portfolio?

This new harassment is different, and extremely fucked up. What the fuck is wrong with the idiot douches that the US citizens have "chose" to vote in here? It's getting past the point of ridiculous. Border security is Federal not state so Federal law is applied.
