Alpy BC line names with the photos would be cool for us with less time out there.

But that would cheat the process. Plus, shit changes out there from storm to storm.

Besides Q's hand-drawn laminated pocket map, I kinda like this one... vague but useful:

Holy sheetballz. A sweltering Seattle summer and the first time back in a month or so and next seasons BBI thread is already 13 pages deep. I must be slacking!

That’s because we’re not wasting space figuring out how to wear a transceiver

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Rent a car/suv with AWD/4wd. This will prevent a lot of headache if it snows.

For the main bbi event, rent an airbnb at Snoqualmie pass (not the town of Snoqualmie.) There is a hotel at the pass as well that is not great.

I can't help you with the Seattle culture or places to stay part.

An option for bare-bones immersive trip:

Pack light... one ski bag, one duffel, boots as carry-on. I pick you up at the airport on Wednesday the 13th in the afternoon/evening on my way by. Ski that night till 10, find a ride to the hotel/rental. Catch the shuttle back to Alpy for the first day of the party on the 14th... repeat. Catch a ride back to the airport on Sat/Sun.

It'd be a fun way to fully check out the pass without the city in the mix. Should be plenty of ski-and-party happening to keep one occupied for a few days straight.

I will have 3 open seats in my truck and will gladly do this for others pondering the trip via SeaTac.

That shit is Golden, right there. If I wasn't planning on driving, I'd be signing up for Option A right now.
