Yeah I dunno. It was priced to sell in my mind. I'm ready to move on. Took me a while to get my brain around that but it's the fact.

I mean it's in a really good location, kinda off to the side a little but it's supposed to be. Easy to get anywhere, there's a cool creek on the property (no worries about flooding, it's down the hill), not far from the highway, about half an hour to the White House without traffic (there's usually traffic so call it 45ish), grocery store etc. right up the road, can't see a neighbor at all, almost surrounded by 2500 acres of "conservation" parkland (i.e. it'll just be woods forever), half a mile to the river (the river's amazing around there), 40KW generator that'll power the whole house for 10 days easy without turning anything off (1500 gallons of propane buried in the yard), geothermal heat pumps (just replaced in the past 2 years), etc. etc. It's in one of the wealthiest jurisdictions in the country, the price is not out of line. We've kinda drawn a line in the sand with the price, it's worth the money so we're not discounting it. But nobody has asked us to reduce it either. Maybe the realtor just sucks. But we see what she's doing, she does seem to be on it. And she hasn't suggested a price cut.

I've put so much effort into it, with materials, systems, location, maintenance (it's maintained like a motherfucker, nothing is wrong with that place) etc etc etc that it's starting to hurt my feelings it hasn't sold. I mean I could write an essay just about the carpentry in that place, it's amazing what they did. So buy it. I mean the fucking place was featured in the Washington Post, there was an article about it! Come on man. wtf. (I just noticed that the Post misspelled my daughter's name, yeesh)

But the place is for sale, it's way more awesome than the listing explains. There is not a single thing in that house that i have not thought about, hard. It's optimized to the best of my abilities. Buy it.

There's a Frank Lloyd Wright house in my town that's been for sale for a few years. It's the only one in the county, sits on its own island in the middle of the lake so accessible only by boat in the summer, ice skates in the winter if the lake actually freezes or you can use the helipad on the roof. I think they're still asking $15mil but hey, the taxes aren't too bad at $135k/yr

Yeah there was a pipe burst behind the wall buttah. It was pretty early spring when the pics were taken, the outside water had just been cut on. It's fixed now. And those are old beater bikes for company that's why they're down there but thanks for noticing! Nice wheelbarrow though, and you could probably afford it, if you could get a loan.
