HAND flex ?!?
have you skied them yet?
HAND flex ?!?
have you skied them yet?
Yeah, he’s skied them all. I’m in his head.....
Hand flex can be misleading... especially up against the wall without any real body weight on the center of the ski.
I have been training for BBI (serious)
Acinpdx, of course I’ve skied them. It’s the dog days of summer, and I’m starting to think about skiing. Hand fiddling and picturing myself skiing is the next best thing.
I realize hand flex means shit, I even pointed out how Rx ski stiffer. I just wanted to reiterate that 2x carbon is stiff for those wondering.

I fiddlebanged my supergoat hard last night, in every which way possible.

Careful, fiddlebanging skis on summer nights is where new skis come from.

Seriously, this can’t turn into yet another ON3P thread....
Pulled the trigger on the 1.5x and I’m stoked...

I rip the groomed on tele gear
Came to a harsh realization tonight. I dont think I’m full Aever enough, nor do I have the terrain. I want to try the 1.5x SGs...
What are these even worth used? Anyone wanna trade?

I will only trade for 1.5x Supergoats. Otherwise sell mine and buy 1.5x. I can ski Aever no problem, but I ski lots of choppy powder moguls on deeper days. I want something with slightly more flex, so I can pop up and out of the deeper troughs a little easier. I dont suspect the 1.5x will be vastly different, but just enough to work better in resort conditions for me and where I ski. Aever is a true big mountain gun, more so than 191 Wren, just slarvier.
I would be completely happy keeping my Aevers, since I have 189 BGs for bumps, but am thinking the 1.5x Supergoats would do the job of both of those.. and I could consolidate.

Pics? Mounts? Price???
Fear, Doubt, Disbelief, you have to let it all go. Free your mind!

One mount for pivot 18s on the line for 315mm BSL. Skied 5 days, only in soft snow. One small scratch that I put in the last picture, it’s maybe 0.2mm deep, and almost non existent. Excellent condition.
By TGR pricing rules, I come up with $550. $779, -50% for mount and 5 days of use. +20% cuz they’re Supergoats. I try not to sell used, previous year On3ps much over $399 on here, but these are worth that to me. I have to spend at least another $275 on top of that to get another pair, and I would just keep them rather than spend $300 or more on a new pair.
I really just want to trade for a 1.5x, but that’s a long shot. More like a hail mary.

I told you this a year ago.
I’d trade you a pair of my skis (or two) for the season if we shared BSL, dang
This will be regretted down the road![]()
Is it $550 with bindings or $550 flat?
I put over 20 days on my 1.5 SGs last season in a wide array of conditions. Are the SGs great in bumps? No. But they're not that bad.
IMO you're over thinking it. You should keep the SGs and force yourself to ski them a lot next season. You'll get used to them in all conditions that way. They are one of the best resort powder skis ever. Plus one day you could be telling your grandkids about when Californa used to have snow and you were a badass who skied an uber stiff comp ski every day in all conditions, no matter what.
^^^ This is what I want to avoid. I want to daily drive them. I would just keep them and buy another pair of 1.5x, but I need to save for both BBIs. I also am not a pro, and the Aevergoats are really built for Pro skiers to use in competition. Even more so than my 191 Head Monster 108, which Blister gear calls the baddest ski on the market..
Are you guys not familiar with my quiver turnaround?? Anyone who thinks it’s really because Aever isnt Aever enough, I challenge you to a friendly ski off in moguls with big powder comp skis.
I ski a lot of bumps mannnn!
I knew I was going to get a lot of guff for this. I’ll be just fine skiing these again this season, I can ski them no problem. They are easy to ski everywhere but large bumps. In smaller bumps and everything else, they are amazing. I ski a lot of deep chop bumps on powder days, being at a high snowfall/high traffic resort. That is my reasoning for thinking 1.5x would be better. 189 BGs are amazing in bumps, while 2x is not. I think 1.5x will be that goldilocks flex for bumps and still be stiff enough for going fast in powder.
As somewhat of a perfectionist I want to try the 1.5x and cannot afford to own both. I do this all the time with all my other skis. Just because these have my namesake flex, doesnt make them any more safe from the chopping block.

SG's are too valuable right now for me to afford to make a fair offer. First, I need you guys to buy it, drill more holes, add >3 years of coreshots and soften 'em up for me...then I'll buy this exact pair at lower price someday.
...but seriously, I'm guessing this 2x Aever pair really shines at speed, so a speed demon, who really loves wide open, smooth terrain with decent viz, should buy them! Or any buyer who doesn't mind muscling a stiff ski through the tight spots, no prob.
