Bobby, the actually wealthy don't typically (or ever, in my experience) feel the need to (endlessly, repeatedly) brag about their wealth, or try to prove how wealthy they are. Especially not to strangers on the internet. Just an observation.

IAS, if you're still looking at this thread (sorry--catching up on this raging trainwreck of amaranthine insecurity)--just consider what would make someone post the way he has. You don't feel the need to justify yourself and beg for validation from people you don't know on the internet. Think about what that compulsion says about someone and their mental state. There are plenty of people who are materially well off and yet lead miserable lives. As others have pointed out, you have done real good for people and your presence here is widely appreciated. I hope the financial shit improves for you, but I wouldn't ever imagine that you or your life is inferior to someone else's based on the state of your bank account. Pulling for you, man.

In my experience the wealthy buy expensive cars to show off with... They buy expensive clothes. They buy expensive homes.

They then show those things off to strangers out in public.

Real estate market is booming here...like articles are being written about it (not so much about TN), AND I have a paid in full 4 bedroom condo in VT. 3 different offers on the table currently...how is it you know what I make? I don't brag about it like you so I'm curious.
