A guy at my local hill rips bumps on tele mounted scorpions.
Sent from my iPhone using TGR Forums
as i remember the tele board used inserts just like a snow board so this mount would not be rocket scinece
apparently the teleboard was invented when the Fey brothers made a snow board SO narrow you couldnt put snow board bindings on it but there were these tele-bindings on the barn wall so unwilling to waste a snow board ... the Teleboard was born
I bought one pretty cheap 15yars ago but we just didn't gel so becuz they are impossible to sell I gave it to the friend of a friend who admired it, told him to try it and send me a check if he wanted it but he didnt think his wife would be happy with that.
I was so trying to get rid of this thing I told him to send me a series of post dated checks ... in the end she found out anyway
when i bought it off one of the Fey bros over the phone I said I said it will be cool to try something different and he said
" oh you will be different, you'll be the anti-crhrist "

I found a box of #12AB aluminum screws (virtually same thread as ski screws) in an old hardware store and have done this a few times now, works great. I can't imagine it pulling out with so many threads in there. #12AB aluminum screws are not easy to come by though, haven't be able to find any since.
This stuff isn't cheap, but it's definitely plastic-safe: https://us-store.genuineguidegear.co...-binding-gease You don't use much, so a tub lasts a really long time.
Thats some spendy grease.
What properties does it have over farm grease that make it necessary?
Do what you like, Like what you do.
So?!!
Yes, likely a bad idea unless you really like acid. I think there was a teleboard demo day at Jay Peak years ago. Saw a tent and a few on the hill. Heads were cruising on them, slashing bumps but it did not look like an advancement for any element of sport in any way. I am still confused on how they operate. Seems you’d want the front foot locked in like a slalom water ski???
Uno mas
MNIAW has a perfect drill press from Harbor Freight. When coupled with a proper mounting drill bit it made mounting skis this afternoon a breeze.
Thanks MNIAW!
It was fun! There was definitely a big learning curve and it will take a while before I'm comfortable on anything remotely steep but I will definitely ride it again. Slow transitions edge to edge felt almost like a snowboard and, although it makes sense now... I hadn't really thought about how its only the inside foot that gets an edge. That took a while to get used to
I was talking to a dude in the bar who wants to ride the slush pit on a mono borad but togetehr with his buddy
so they will each have a foot on the board and one foot each on a ski
should be interesting

A couple of wild young lads, I see them taking a lot more chances every day so this should be a cake walk
Since it will probably not be allowed by the head dude the bro's will ask for forgiveness after the fact rather than ask permission
so the plan is to ride the T up, attempt to establish some directional control on the way down to the pit, hide in the trees and on a sign from a not so head dude hit the pit ... should be interesting eh?
I will try and post a you tube or some fuckign thing

There ya go
I'm liking the outrigger look of twobroskisononemonoskiplustwoskis.
In search of the elusive artic powder weasel ...
So the young rippers actually got permission to run last, lined up on the pit, lots of in-run, skied down arm around each other's shoulders, into the pit and out the back, rather anti climatic really, no video so far
The start was a little low this year and a lot of people who should have made it just sank into the mid thigh water at the end before making it out
If I had it to do again I would have hiked up another 50 ft at least
There was also the inaugural Peak - to- pint race. From the top of the hill down the ski out to town and then run thru town with all your gear to chug a beer at the local brewery. No advertising, no permission, no waivers and I heard the prize was a runner or sft

Awesome, props to the boyz for pulling it off!! Hopefully video footy of the skim emerges, otherwise obv it didnt happen
Buy/borrow a left turning drill bit, put drill in reverse, and drive it in and hope it catches and loosens the screw.
You need a Pozi driver to adjust or remove those brakes. For the life of me I can’t figure out why someone would risk damaging a $100 piece of equipment for the price of a $10 tool.
PSA: If you’re working on ski bindings without the correct tools, just stop.
A wide blade screwdriver will probably still turn that screw. I hope you’re patient.
I was able to send a set of heels back to Look for a rebuild that had been damaged and sold to me. From what I understand the adjustment tubes are not user replaceable/serviceable.
