^^^That's absurd. Also, if I'm reading that right, NY state bans e-bikes entirely statewide? WTF?
Oh no, not satire. He's the gift that just keeps on giving... Here's some snippets from the linked article below.
In an interview, Haller denied any wrongdoing. He called the collision an “accident” and blamed the unsafe mix of walkers and cyclists on the trail.
“You shouldn’t have a place where you have five times the speed discrepancy,” he said, noting that cyclists are allowed to reach up to 15 mph on the trail, where most people walk 3 mph. “If I were going to hop onto a highway going 12 mph, don’t you think I should look out for bigger and faster-moving vehicles?”
A witness interviewed for the complaint said Haller “screamed obscenities” at Pearsall as both were on the ground. The witness, a mother with her “small children,” told him to stop yelling and that Pearsall was clearly injured.
Haller continued to berate Pearsall, according to the complaint. He yelled at her and used an obscenity to tell her to get out of the way, according to the suit, adding Pearsall “had no right to be on the trail” and that the trail was “for cyclists only.”

That guy reminds me of the critical mass hipster Ian Hespelt that beat out the window of a persons car with his bike lock. Last I heard, that guy is in jail now.
Long time ago I was coming back from Marin with my bike on top of the car on Marina Dr., and I was stopped by a critical mass, and guys were riding by yelling at me, the most common was some version of "ride that thing", (pointing at my bike). A couple smacked the car at the same time. I was SMH and WTF, cuz I was on their side.
Well maybe I'm the faggot America
I'm not a part of a redneck agenda
Kinda belongs in this thread--riding on the American River bike trail yesterday. !0 foot wide paved trail with a center line. Some photographer was sitting cross-legged in the middle of the eastbound lane, taking a picture of two lovebirds in the bushes--guessing wedding-related. It was late afternoon, alternating sun and shade and the idiot was sitting in the shade, in dark clothes. Kicking myself for not taking a picture of him with my brand new first ever smart phone.
After you ran him over, amirite?
See I just don't get attitudes like this. Maybe they were doing their best.
Maybe there was gravel you didn't see.
I'm not exactly sure what this thread is about. Cyclist behaving badly? Would make a better title. I went back to the first page to try to remember and couldn't get past the hostility so I stopped here.
generally speaking running someone over on a bicycle can be as bad or worse for the cyclist--however, two 7 and 9 year old brothers in my neighborhood when I was a kid, having an argument. Older brother sitting on his bike crossways in the middle of the street. Younger kid goes way down to the end of the block, pedals as hard as he can into his brother. Both survived but it wasn't pretty. I can still see the wild look in the little kids eyes and the look of grim determination, pedaling furiously bent forward over the bars.
^^^ In a lot of redneck America, there's also a why isn't he working? thing going on. This and the thing you mentioned with the fact that they don't think cyclists pay for the roads. Rednecks still don't understand how money can be made or not or if it matters. There's a guy on an expensive bike slowing me down somehow, and he's so fucking vulnerable right there, I could just turn the wheel to the right a little, and knock him over.

Yabut, the car divers shit on the cyclists, the cyclists shit on the pedestrians, and the pedestrians shit on each other.
Why is there so much shit in the world??
Dumbfuck asshole in pickup mows down cyclists in Manhattan:

Shouldn't that be under "F*cking car drivers"????
Definitely not too soon.
Looks like its under fucking wannabe ISIS clowns.
I still call it The Jake.
Well I'll say Cruiser, not trying to start a fight, made the comment out of frustration but no point in deleting. I know we have some mutual friends so you're probably a decent dude. And sound like a hell of a cook, counts for something. My thought is that smoking them out isn't going to make them any less defensive next time they ride that road and they will probably leave more room between the gravel or edge in order to be able to dodge. After several close calls with vehicles it's kind of a big deal to me. Some malicious some accidental. I mostly mountain bike to avoid the whole thing but road riding is fucking fun sometimes.
I have seen dozens of instances in bicyclists behaving badly and it makes me cringe for giving the rest of us a bad name.
And full disclosure I've made my own mistakes, never an accident, but goofed up. Twice turning left at a four way stop late at night while a bike was coming towards me, no lights and wearing black, both of them. Kinda humorous when they tell me to fuck off and don't realize I have a bike in my truck at that moment. But ultimately still my fail.
Randomly came across this cyclist douchebag ‘s YouTube page in MN who rides around taking cars plates and calling them into the cops when they’re blocking a part of the bike lane: https://youtu.be/tazsKgcYAW4
https://youtu.be/7A4hiCDVuqg
There’s even some where he harasses cops parked in the bike lane.
Well no shit, I did my first real road ride of the season a few hours ago. Dealing with the fucking moronic pieces of shit that try to flex their weight in their 2 ton vehicle to show their superiority over a lowly cyclist. Ooh bonus let’s tromp some diesel on them. Good times.
Was going to let it slide but weird thread bump timing.

I'm in a car about 95% of the time I'm on the road, bike or walking the rest, but I'd do the same thing if I thought the Truckee cops would do anything. Riding along a busy street or road alongside fast moving cars--having to pull out into traffic because the bike lane is blocked is dangerous. Cyclists would be safer with no bike lanes than with bike lanes that are periodically blocked by cars.
In my neighborhood I would give a pass to construction vehicles--most of the time they have no option.
Calling 911 (4:19) because the city service line is not working for you? The fuck?
The bike lane appears fine in parts of the video where he elects to drive in the vehicle lane.
I was bummed that they were forecasting 8-10” over the next two days in Minneapolis, but now I am not.
I had no ideas the laws above existed. I think that is hilarious.

I periodically get yelled at by cyclists for blocking the bike lane while stopped at bus stops boarding and deboarding passengers.
It's not illegal. Funny that the entitled douche bags think they shouldn't have to be delayed by anything... not even a city bus.
Here he gets harassed by a crack addict:

“I drew my folding baton, extended it, and retreated to a safe distance”
Solid performance by Toothless Terry. I hope to make a cameo on this crusaders youtube channel someday.
The likelihood of getting hit by a texting teenager, in their parents 5,500 lb Yukon Denali deters me from ever riding a bike on metro streets. The risk aint worth it.

that guy is clearly a zealot douche but what old goat said is spot on.
bike lanes suck in general so when they’re not respected it just makes a bad situation worse.
