Moments run short. Their 188 is really 186. Which is on the verge of being too short for most chargers over 200lbs.

189 Wren 108 with metal sounds awesome for the bigger/chargier folks. Reading between the lines of Scott's interview on blister, the current protos are super burly.

Imagine an On3p customization where you can add either 1 or 2 sheets of metal to any ski you desire.

These get my attention. Damn, might prepare the budget for this.

Will it carry over to Wren 114?

Sorry if this has been answered

I edited my post above slightly because it could be misinterpreted -- I haven't skied the metal Wren and I'm not a particularly large guy, so I probably shouldn't have been quite so matter of fact about it.

You can listen to the podcast as well as I can, but Scott said the narrower Wrens would gain the most from the metal so it may or may not make it to the 114.

Anyone heard anything about the new-for-next-year black diamond helio bindings? Apparently 4 models/weights but I know nothing more than that as to difference between models.

If they were coming out next year - and not the year after - I'm pretty sure we would have heard a lot more about them by now. Or it's a pretty huge fail by BD. Tecton will be pretty close to the same but I guess they'll have a little more dampening rubber in version 2.

Makes sense looking at the atk website, weights line up with what I've seen about these. I still don't understand the difference between any of them...

Their first foray into the US market (rebranded by La Sportiva) involved quite a few toe piece failures and a quick retreat.

for what its worth i've been skiing the ATK freeraider 14 2.0 this season and so far I am very impressed. Strong toe springs (so no pre-releases (yet)) and very strong ski feel for the weight. No revolutionary moving parts or elasticity or anything, just the basic pin-binding design very, very well done.

I've been wondering why Tecnica hasn't announced any updates to the main Cochise line, no changes for two years. Found this today, what do people know? Only result from google that showed anything new. Is it even real?

It's red, so it's obviously faster. Except from that I only notice a new power strap, and a 200g weight reduction.

Didn't Blister and a few other people cover this at SIA/OR?

Sweet, so with an intuition liner is effectively the same weight as my beloved ZG Pro Guide. My do-it-all boot is still alive.

Sure that 200g weight reduction isn't just in the liner?

Not sure, but the liner looks to be a similar CAS thing as the old one - can't imagine they pulled much weight from that. The boot looks the same as the current model to me, but they're mentioning a "mobility cuff" - maybe the weight came off there. Catalogue says the cuff material is different on the Dyn 130 than the rest of the line - could be a typo. Or the 1750g listed in the linked post could be BS and then I'd be bummed.
