Neither is OTR, The Saddle, Castle Rock, Primer, Dave's Ditch, Tunnel Face, or Supernova. Maybe they ran out of bamboo and rope?

    Oh well.

Neither is chicken alley trees. I've "heard" those trees are skiing pretty well, however.

If you thought Loveland sucked on Friday you were doing it wrong

Word around the lodge is that they are actively voiding 4packs sold on Craigs List. Meaning if you buy one from a listing on CL, they won’t honor it. Matching email addresses. Don’t know if this is new or not, but quite a few pissed spring breakers.

How would they know this? Sounds like false information.

Edit: not to mention, why would it matter? LL has already collected on the 4 pack and I hope no one is dumb enough to pay more that $40 for a day pass anyway. 2-4-1's are a plenty still right?

Yeah, anyone using Craigslist has an anonymous email address. Sounds like a fake rumor.

Da fuck. I find this hard to believe. Those are sold as transferable passes. I can't see how they could legally do such.

I’ll be first to admit, info was 2nd Hand - after he had to buy full tickets today. I agree with skepticism regarding transferable.

I went and rode as many of them as I could by 2pm. dust on crust isn't the best conditions for testing skis, but hey. still a good day.

Lower mountain was terrible, never felt such ice and crust in the North Chutes before. The Ridge was skiing incredible though. Fell in love with the Wrens

    Today didn't suck:

And yes, the chutes were a bit bullet proof under the new snow.

Everything BUT North Chutes was soooo good. We lucked out and had first tracks across the hill for the first three hours and still were skiing untracked on field of dreams to tickler off the cat at 2:00pm.

    Holy blow job Batman!

8 and 9 were on wind hold early in the day yesterday. They closed 1 behind us...never experienced that kind of gusting on 1 before in the 20+ years skiing Loveland. It was running slow and chairs near the top were swinging to almost touch towers.

A little later my wife and I went to 6...they closed that after a couple runs. Ptarmigan closed a little later. 4 ran for awhile longer then closed.

All that was left was 2 and they even had to run that slow because of the gusts down low. Crazy freaking front that blew through.

Loveland season pass details are out for next year:

    New things:

    - HSQ on Lift 1 confirmed.
    - Price down $20
    - Full passes get Powder Alliance benefits (3 free midweek days or 3 50% off weekends at a bunch of places)
    - New bonus days at Red Lodge Mountain, Cooper, and Homewood. Plus all the bonus days that were on there last year.
    - No more bonus days at Crested Butte.

HSQ to replace chair 1. What a waste of cash that is. The maintenance costs will be huge even with having to have bailing twined and duct tape 1. There's almost never a line at 1. Moron decision right there. What are they thinking? It's a nice marketing scheme though.

Pass prices up $20 to pay for a lift that's not needed. Not that it's a huge deal but the optics of $399 vs $379 is significant.

Pass prices are down. They were $429 for a new pass last year. https://web.archive.org/web/20170310...season-passes/

Lift 1 needs replacement. It's had regular serious mechanical issues for the last 3 years. It doesn't need to be a HSQ. But cest le vie.

Last year we paid $379 for renewals early sale. Prices go up usually about $20 after that.

It's true that chair 1 has seen better days but a high speed detachable is stupid.
