Everyone had the same idea about hitting up the Summit chair. But pretty easy decision.

I skied when the kids were younger. Now the girl keeps up fine so I’d rather play to my power. Plus snowboarding is cooler [emoji1598]

Another good day at Bachy. Summit chair was spinning right off the get go. Some nice soft chalky goodness off the top. Back side wasn't too shabby either.

Just for reference for folks playing along at home, I'd say nwx was as good Saturday as it's been all year. Getting an untracked run in outer bowls first thing before the lift was closed was our best line of the year, the care-free launch kind of conditions that are rare this year, and having not missed many of the storms. Even better than a 20 cm day at Revelstoke and a couple heli days in BC. The hike out of NWX to OB when it did shut down had more vert than I thought but still probably faster than waiting.

Sunday crowds were surprisingly light and I'm finding that tree zones skier's left of Cloudchaser are the perfect next step for my 4 year old who's mastered dilly dally alley. Natural slalom practice for line selection and control. I'll post a vid in the kid stoke thread. Great area to take kids and not much risk of trouble other than deep powder and tree wells.

Wish I was going to be there this weekend. I have always favored skiing for spring break, but I am in the minority in my family. they like the sun and warm...Hope you all get some soft turns and many smiles at the mini!

    Like touring,
except without skins and proper binders
And no cool slope to ski at the end of the slog

So what's the plan for this Bachelor shindig? I'm contemplating making the drive down Friday afternoon. If I left straight from work I could be in Bend around 6:00.

We'll be there in a camper from Thursday night through Sunday afternoon. Will have moderately limited quantities of extra food at just about every meal, but planning on feeding the hungriest 10-15 of you on Saturday around 11. White chicken chili. I'll have some Thai food as well. Holy basil over rice. This year, I'm making stuff ahead of time and reheating, for the most part. Then again, if I'm sore enough on Saturday, I'm sure lunch will turn into a much more involved thing.

I'll try to get a spot across from the red chair snow wall area and in any event will post back up here on Thursday or Friday to let you know where I'm at. We'll have an awning and a place to chill if you bring a chair. Coffee in the morning! Probably a few breakfast burritos too. First come first served.

Woah am I the only one or does the site look different all of a sudden? Don't think I spilled anything on my keyboard this time.
