What was The Who when where what on the summits thread being merged into general ski?
I’d probably be game for this c lot expedition if someone wanted to skin to the top of MJ with me. What are the mid day skinning rules there?

Are these Monday night and Thursday storms gonna happen?

Did a 20 mile MTB ride at Buffalo Creek yesterday and a trail run up Bergen Peak with my pup today.

Haven't skied in CO since early February and kinda don't miss it. The universe keeps showing me way better skiing than exists in CO.

Biking? I've had nothing but powder days for two months now. Riding steep backcountry lines and getting the legs stronger than any bike ride can get you. It's like people came for the opening act and left before the main event. Biking is so easy it is almost painfully boring. Hey guys turn 40 and the bike is what makes you happy so enjoy....

Just like 9 out of 10 years, the skiing didn't get good until March, and it will stay good in April and May. Happily, everyone will be riding bikes by then.

I have a lot of friends who will drive 3 hrs to ride 18rd this time of year instead of just driving 10 minutes to go skiing. I don't get it. Neighbors drove to Denver the other day to bike when there was powder skiing right down the road. I guess that it's their choice, and it certainly doesn't bother me.

I usually push it into late April or May, but once we take a beach vacation, or bike trip, the mind does tend to switch to warmer sports. We're pretty lucky to live somewhere where we have that choice. Last year on closing day at Abasin, June 11th, we skied, biked, SUPed, then played corn hole and drank beer of course. That was a few days after returning from Hawaii.

Apparently no one goes skiing anymore. Skied about 4000' of perfect cream cheese and windbuff in the Park on Saturday. Didn't cross a track or see another group all day.

Pretty outstanding skiing this past weekend around Summit. Seems like many of the classics have good coverage right now, while the more fickle lines are thin and interesting. Most of the avalanche problems seem to be predictably near the surface.

It sucks not to be stoked on what you're doing. I've had moments like that (easy/boring) on a board. I ski sometimes just to mix it up now.

I dunno man, get a hardtail? It's gonna be long summer.

You all can keep it, and keep beating that horse about how it actually snows there, outside of Kebler and Buff Passes. So glad I managed to GTFO.

The weed was cheaper and better there, but other than that, there isn't a damn thing I miss about that state.

Then why do you give a fuck about this thread?

Seems like you are the one beating a dead horse.... Just wait until the PNW gets one of those seasons where it rains all winter and the resorts don't even open.

Skiing in Colorado is consistently mediocre and in other breaking news the sky is blue.

You'll want to take your schadenfreude to the I-70 bitch thread even if you spent your CO time in Aspen.

A recording breaking lame season for Colorado.

I'll tell you right now why people are eager to switch to biking this time of year..... they're sick and fucking tired of dealing with resort bullshit. Yeah, yeah, yeah, "but the backcountry is prime", I get it, I do. It's there as an option, but it's sure fucking nice to get away from I-70 and get away from all of the gapers.

PRO TIP: Right now you can mountain bike in Eagle and ski Vail/Beav in the same day.
