Does Circuit City even exist anymore? I'm amazed that Best Buy brick and mortar does. Sorry, but those retail gigs are disappearing rapidly. Blame Amazon. And buy a nice RV right now as an investment in your future. Make sure it's a warm one.

I imagine buttah is a good guy, but he's probably a little cranky until after his morning bong rip.

I like getting high as much as the next guy, but no, I've got a pretty even keel even when sober.

Ha I mentioned it once, cause, of course, you were being a douche I'm sure. In any event you'll still be stuck in a shitty ski shop making shit money, and I'll take my very marketable skills elsewhere. I wasn't really looking for pity here, I don't need pity. I'll find a gig pretty simply. The real decision is really if its in Utah or back east. That's the real issue mostly. Good luck with those ski shop skills when the snow stops flying enough for them to keep you around.

My advice is to slash expenses and work for yourself. Make sure this never happens again and that you live life on your terms.

They got rid of you, because you suck. What part of that don’t you understand? You know what I’m doing tomorrow? Working!

Right now I'm team lead for a group that manages all of the contract data and renewals for all of North America and South America, roughly 5 billion dollars annually. I do all of the resume screening and first round interviews for the directors whenever there is an opening on the team. I also spent ten years in retail management screening interviewing and hiring. I can guarantee that a 6 month gap in your resume is a bigger problem than a data entry gig is.. I get it.. Folks don't want to brag about a step backwards, but to potential employers it is way better than standing still going nowhere. A step sideways or backwards still keeps you in the game where a better position can open up.

I've also worked as a cabinet maker and kitchen remodeling company long ago. Just saying changing careers entirely to a lower pay grade entry level comes before missing mortgage payments,

As for investing in an RV?? If I were single I'd probably already be there. Even with that best to own property to park it on. It gets rough packing the family of 4 in an RV for more than 5-6 days hahaha.. Mrs JongGuy is all in for getting one when the nest empties though..

    Pot....meet kettle.

I'd venture to say I've met quite a few mags who would tell you different.

    Can you say the same?

he's honest. If you get laid off you should understand why. Is it because you suck (a layoff round that's underperformers/fuckups) because your business unit is dead (a round that's one unit) or is it because the companys shitting the bed (a layoff round of previous high performers - this is a couple rounds down the line usually). If you care about your career - fix that shit. Or just be a victim.

In the hottest job market in 20 years I won't feel bad for someone out of a job temporarily. You should be able to get another.

FTR, he can say the same, as I have heard on numerous occasions that he's a nice guy IRL.

So you're both douchebags online and are nice to mags in person? Yay?

Sorry for the layoff. Good luck on the job hunt.
