Inboards are great where you are. Here, not so much.
Being able to draft skinny in a 43 ft yacht is pretty sweet.

I am pretty sure I could get a 50Z used for less than they are going to want for that 43 though.

Yeah can't argue with the draft of outboards.

Man I was in key west last week and we went on a half-day charter. Boat was a seavee 32, my hip is still kinda fried so I was sitting next to the captain and I was minorly sketched out looking the depths as we blasted along for several miles at ~40 in water that was 5-7 feet deep. No issues though.

I like it ^^^ in New Egland we'd call that little Pilot House a "doghouse" (maybe they call it that everywhere? I dunno), I know a guy who has built a few of them, if I don't sell my boat I might rip the t-top off and replace it with something like that to be able extend the season.

Yeah, it works great year round as the canvas fully closes you in and since it only seats two inside, it stays nice and warm

I bet, I had a canvas enclosure made for my boat a couple years ago and it helps, at least it keeps most of the water off you, but it's cramped behind it and it ain't warm. Warmer than being drenched and in the wind though.

I am still baffled by trying to share pics from google photos, let's see if this works:

google photos is the worst. wtf?

That’s further than most day cruisers go on an average trip I would bet.

That will make a nice dinghy for a much larger yacht, but it is pretty worthless for anything else.
Cruise at 10 mph. Why not just buy a kayak?

Actually its a really big lake, you may have heard of it. the Caribbean? We run out of Key West every year and anchor up out by the Marquesas and then go get our asses kicked chasing tarpon.

Look close there are 3 of them on the back-350 Verados.

Some of the best boat builders in the world are sold, but I get the hate.
BTW- they come in white now too.

Mercurys are solid, learned to sail on them, look out port tack rudder rule

I could waste/have wasted much time on YachtWorld...

I always liked South Coast bass boats, Fortiers and Brownells
