UDOT Avie posted this saying dawn patollers please park 2' from white line. I'm confused, it looks like 4' from the white line. And is the green band signifying that everyone should park to the right of it? Who made this pic?

If you can't communicate simply through pics, I don't think they are going to solve this problem.

Most rocks higher up covered for sure, but, south facing below 8500ft still felt really boney. Jumped into homicide chute as a second run this morning. Still could use a lot of snow... Still best runs of the season so far!

I got fed up with the LCC shit show a few years ago and started getting BCC passes. Today was my first day back to Alta for a few seasons. It was like having great sex with an ex and forgetting why you ever broke up.

I don't think the obvious white line is the edge of the road, look at it in relation to the yellow line. I think the edge of the road runs under the P in Parked....

Saw evac and watched victim get brought up to the heli pickup. As soon as the sled stopped like 7 medics/Drs mobbed the sled. Everyone seemed very tense. Heli was there less than 5 min after victim got to the spot. Hope they are ok.

I will continue to be a grandma out there for a while yet... maybe up LCC tomorrow early if any one wants to walk around a couple hours tho
Bluebird day (Friday), lenticular clouds over the Uintas late in the day. I was solo so stayed in Beartrap most of the day. Solo, heh, I've never seen so many tourers along the PC ridgeline. Helicopters. I thought for a moment I was in the middle of a Dynafit commercial. I think everyone in Summit County with an Epic Locals pass and a powder clause was touring out Park West yesterday! It was fine, everyone was nice and cordial. Saw a couple splitboarders...wonder if one of them was the guy who had to check his shorts in Monitors?

Common theme near Park West this year: thin snowpack, N -> E aspect, >34 degrees + "less" skier compacted.

+ a shot of the small natrual in West Willow (WW always seems to slide even in deeper years). In the background tracks on the Football field and Orgy Peak in the Meadows. Not sure if they were touring or dropped off by the Powderturds?

Best day of the year (which would make everyone laugh in a good year). If the weatherman's correct, we'll be rockin' and a rollin' next week.

observations include but not limited to
    thick whippersnappers

or ya just could slow down and yeild to uphill traffic like most courteous folk do
but the latter was more amusing
    pockets of skier induced instabilities

    spansered brand ambassador product placement

    athletic endeavers

Good day yesterday, 1st sunburn of the season for all of us, didn't expect that. Some collapsing up high along ridge where it was quickly getting loaded from winds but it was limited to the top 50-100 vertical feet and shallow. Also seemed like that plus last storms new snow (8-12 inches) would fail on a graupel layer below cliffs. No other instabilities noted.

725 gets you a season pass. Ticket per day is.like $104. You'll cover the cost no problem if you ski Alta every day of your trip.

    Strong work.

Tomorrow should be good. I'm supposed to be working but instead I'll be finding myself somewhere near the front of the tram line.
