I was on a plane and kinda buzzed so maybe my altitude-addled brain somehow missed its goodness, it just made no sense, none of the "bad guy" characters got introduced at all / had any context. Like those punk kids who were hanging out with the dead girls' brother, they just shot at the cops, one got killed, then never heard from again? Oops, not a part of the plot. Moving on, the flashback scene out of nowhere 3/4 through the movie had no context, why did those miner guys shoot a bunch of cops (also really, c'mon this does not happen even in wyexas), and anyway the principle antagonist was only introduced via flashback 3/4 through the film? Generally the whole stoic-native-american thing was waaaay overdone, the guy with his "death paint" on lol. I thought at the end when the main dude was interrogating the rapist guy he was gonna ask about his own daughter to bring closure to at least this one loose end, but even that was a bridge too far. Then in the final moment they're like "btw this film is about awareness of missing native american girls," gee whiz they shoulda said that in the beginning cuz I certainly did not get that from watching the thing.

I did like the shots of pipeline at snowbird though

28 weeks later is a much better Renner flick imo

I felt the movie editing was very static, felt like a first time director (which it was) and they tried too hard to pull on the heart strings with varying results. An Ok movie, but Didn't live up to the hype.
