Like I said last night, the fight for the padded room is over. It is now all just denouement, waiting to see where the final lines will be drawn, where will TGR's virtual Berlin Wall be placed (or will it be a Trump Border Wall, overpriced, leaky, badly designed, built by the lowest bidder, laughed at by those on the other side, and ultimately bankrupting its sponsors?). I'm curious whether we'll see bands of intrepid rebels, sneaking over, under and around the enemy lines in the weeks and years to come, creating virtual underground railroads to sneak posters in and out of the PR, evading the watchful eyes of the overlords, and engaging in strategic sabotage. Oh, brave new world the PR will be.

Should we begin writing epitaphs, or is it too soon?

Making the padded room a pay for area of the forum is the only real solution.

My guess is that there was felt to be a problem with optics - TRG does not want to get into the "larger" viral news sphere as a place where nonconsensual nekkid pics are a "thing". mg79 making a hubbub about it was felt to be a no-no, so rather than addressing the underlying issue itself (which, granted, is problematic), instead kill the strident messenger and off she goes to the sin-bin.

Yeah sure, totally fool proof. Actually a better standard would be - no faces allowed. Still wouldn't actually prevent all non-consensual photos but perhaps would limit the theoretical exposure of possible victims.

You're using mtngrl as a proxy for widespread forum misogyny and that's incorrect. TGR is a brobrah forum but most posters seem to love women, naked or otherwise. Everyone has a mother and lots of posters have wives, sisters, and daughters. Look to the awesome wife thread. Look to how KQ's or klar's posts are received. mtngrl is caustic and the response is partly carryover from her notorious history. She is not being singled out because she is a woman.

I agree with this 100%. As I have daughters her age, I initially felt a lot of compassion towards MG and truly would have done all in my powers to help her out.
However, over the years she has proven herself to be very caustic and her screwed up perception of men and reality makes me skip anything she posts except for the Murphy stoke.
I am uncertain what happened to her and I am not reading through 30 pages of drivel to find out, but if she was timed out for awhile, that is a fair thing to do IMO.
