    300mph Venom F5:

I wonder if Hennessey will just take deposits, or actually deliver the vehicle.

Chiron is the fastest thus far. 261mph.

Hennessey has a pretty bad reputation too.

Hennessey is shit not reputable and scumbags to deal with. Relative used to have a Hennessey raptor. It was good enough. They screwed him royally on the second order so he moved over to Shelby.

Remember the Transtar Dagger GT that has been supposedly 'coming out' for years?

    Still waiting.

    Still a vapor car.

Is the Bricklin trying to be a Ferrari 512 Berlinetta Boxer?

This is all I could come up with when I looked up BMW Puma:

Is that orange Puma based upon the Opel GT? I didn't even realize GM sold Opel this year to somebody else. I've always liked those "miniature Vette" Opel GTs...I kind of put them in the same category as the Saab Sonett.

Speaking of which: 1972 Saab Sonett

Not a bad looking little ride. I always thought they had a weird sound, though.....kind of like a big Husqvarna chainsaw for the road!

And HERE is the 1968 Opel GT. I forgot what a great little car they were. GM had a good thing going there. Too bad they didn't import more of them into the U.S.

I think the Venom did a one way pass of 270mph at Cape Canaveral?
Didn't have time to go the other way for a secondary verification speed pass, so ... no record.

So is the Venom no longer a Lotus based thing and now a Vette based thing?

The Saab Sonnet rocked. I logged many miles in a purple Saab Sonnet blasting up I-90 to Alpental in the early 80s rocking out to Captain Beefheart, Thelonius Monk or the Plastics. Those cars are front wheel drive with monster traction. What glee we exuded blasting through wads of PNW slush going up the Asahel Curtis hill below the summit passing all forms of cars and trucks, not to mention the gawks in the parking lot, snow half covering the rolling hubcaps up to the transom, boating through the lot.

Looks like it. The Venom GT did do a 270 run. Still would have Chiron.

I know a guy that’s got a bone stock immaculate Supra under a cover in a garage just sitting and waiting for the right time to sell. He pulls it out and drives it around the parking lot a couple times a year and changes fluids to keep things moving and lubed but that’s it. Under 30k miles iirc. He was about to hook it all up with aftermarket parts and I literally had to grab him by both shoulders and shake him out of it... That’s a really smart storage car investment if you ask me. Not too many 90s cars appreciating like those Supras are and clean, low mile unmolested examples are becoming more rare by the day.
