Don't tell me you can't differentiate the 27 different 2018 911 models Porsche offers?

(Yes, there are 27 different 911 trims. I counted)

But the reason you don't like 911s is the reason most people buy and collect them - they've maintained the same look for 50+ years. Not many cars can say that. Weather that's a good or bad thing is up to you.

    Here's a Porsche that doesn't look like a 911

I’d like to see an SNL version done on, say, a 92 Honda Accord. Owner gets it out on the road as he commutes to his Carl’s Jr. job.

I've got a buddy with this obsession. Beyond the RS and the Targa in his garage, the kids bikes are porsche, the kids pedal toys are porsche (a tractor of all things), the full wardrobe of course, and he even has a porsche camping chair for the soccer games. I've told him he looks like a dongmop but it has no effect.

Considering the Yellow Bird was a huge step for cementing their legacy, I'd say they're OK with the relationship. Beside for that, they're a blip for them.

I think RUF is technically a manufacturer.

Some comments from the last few pages:

I'm a huge Porsche fanboy, but you will never, ever, ever see me wearing a Porsche hat, ride a Porsche bike, turn my seats into office chairs (when I eventually replace them with proper houndstooth seats), or live in a Porsche high-rise. That's for Persians in Ferrari gear.

I too am a little confused by the current Porsche offering. I mean, the whole point is customization and I love that. But I'm having trouble figuring out exactly what niche the new 911T BeerDrinker posted fills. We have a 991R for non go-zillionaires now in the GT3 Touring, right? So what is this for? I'll wait to hear Clarkson comment.

Totally could see a Petrolicious spoof and it being great. Google Phil Hartman and the Chameleon skit (NBC locks down their shit so I have no clue how to post it).

I kinda want that 904 replica.

Me too. Much more than a 911, but then I gave serious consideration to a Lotus 23 replica a while back, too.

Good replicars have a special appeal: guilt-free mods on an otherwise historical-looking car, built in before the first drive. (Preferably not to include emblazoning the maker's name in giant lettering on the side.)

I'm not embarrassed to say I've seen Usher's Carrera GT at the Whole Foods on several occasions, and that I've driven my wife insane by delaying getting the shopping done by walking around the thing for a solid 10 minutes each time. Talk about a car that's held up well.

911T will probably cost 50-60k less than the GT3 Touring car.
