There are some cali board lawyers on here who could chime in. From experience, in NY, a citation has to be completed 100% accurately, or it is thrown out. As a kid I jumped a subway turnstile. I got caught and did not contest it. A judge threw it out because the cop had not completed the citation correctly. I think he had written the wrong date in. The rule makes sense, as the cop should be paying attention to what they are doing. I think it is a lovely law.

    Pay the ticket.

Does this ticket have the Make model color of your car on it?

another alternative is to go to court and lie to a judge that its not your car? or you were illegally parked.

So you're saying it hasn't been freezing overnight? Trying to decide on whether to head out this weekend but forecast is looking WARM!

It has been freezing but if it does tonight (i think it will get close enough), it's expected to be the last night for a while.

Is it gonna be worth the time and effort to go to Squaw this weekend? Or will the summer temps cook it to sticky glop by 9:30 AM?

But KT is supposed to stay open until 7pm on Sat. Maybe stuff will get sugary later?
Cin & me are prolly gonna come up...although I've just started showing signs of the head-cold that Cinders suffered this past week, so we'll see.

    What Dork said.
It has been freezing here in Truckee the past few nights, but it's also been getting warmer during the day(s).
Forecasts are calling for warmer temps all over starting this W/E.
The quick goto spot by my house, Sunrise Bowl, has been skiing pretty good this week, but the supreme corn goodness window is between 9 - 11 (I skied it yesterday around noon and it was starting to slop up down low (7200 feet). Skied it today an hour earlier and it was still good near Donner Ridge, but again, started to get sludgy down at the bottom).
Methinks we are getting into true spring/summer skiing, where you want to be on the hill of your choice early and end early...

Yes... but areas like chute 75 don't get hit too hard by the sun, so it may stay decent. Maybe.

Solid freeze Wednesday & Thursday. I think Squaw reported a low of 36* this morning. Looked like Kirkwood showed 31* & SLT right around freezing.
I skied Squaw today & was pleasantly surprised! Saddle groomer was solidly frozen first run. Sunbowl for a couple after that, then Headwall face followed by North Bowl. Around 11:30 headed for KT & skied a few down Olympic Lady. Continued on KT with alternate laps on Mosleys & Chute 75. Quit around 2.
After 3 freezing nights, I think Squaw will indeed be worthy tomorrow. Tomorrows story will give a clue as to what Sunday may be like.

Squaw was awesome today! If it does stay hot as hell, it is worth going up for sure. Fun things to be skied.

Probably taking two of the grubs to squaw tomorrow. They are easy blue square types. Where should we explore? They're excited to ski a new hill.

You might want to try the little
hill above your neighborhood. It was money today and 100% open. Every chute skied was amazing.

    I'd rate it an 11. Skied 10 - 3:30.

I was at Squaw last Saturday and Rose Sunday. Rose was so much better. No freakn massive bumps and far better snow quality. Today was very similar to Sunday at Rose.

I will second the above statement. I skied almost exactly the same hours as gageyK. Skied out of the Slide side parking lot which probabely had at max 20 cars in it. Slide side was in peak corn cycle by 10:00 a.m. Did a few laps in Manzo which was great, but the traverse back into the resort is getting thin . Had to click out a few times to hike over bushes and rocks. Face runs on the Rose side also skied well. The only down side is the flats getting back to the North West chair were like glue. Boarders were having to boot out and walk. From noon on it was all about the chutes. I thought that entering thru the Yellow Jacket gate provided the best turn oppitions. Fuse, Detonator and Charge were stellar. After the first couple turns they are smooth, have great coverage, and the snow was super fun. Kind of a blend of slushy corn. I think it would be a safe bet to get there first thing in the morning. Dont think it's going to freeze tonight as of 10:45 p.m. at my place in Galena it's a warm 59 deg.

Yeah, I'm just going to Rose this morning. Have two tickets still for Squaw from Mountain Collective, but may end up not using them. Keep trying, but.... Maybe July 4th.

It's a shame Squaw doesn't have more terrain that is ideally situated for skiing this time of year. ;-)

I'd also suggest Big Blue. Much longer than Gold Coast and super mellow. If they are fine in Shirley, you may want to check out Siberia. Only the top is mildly steep. Last year my son was a blue square guy but still had fun doing one lap on Granite Chief once it was super slush.

Is that snark? I've had good times at Squaw, but it is nice to have a freeze and a breeze.

Summit 6 is by far the best single lift for spring skiing in Tahoe from my experience. Sunny side of groomers, then groomers, then hikes and finally bumps. There is not even much of a flat run out to deal with.

Speaking of flat run outs, I'll be pushing my son back to the lifts next Saturday.

Yes it's snark. Alpine Meadows is just so perfect for skiing this time of year. What a shame.
