    The best part is, those things don't actually simulate training at high elevation. Even if they did, they would be most effective if you wore it while you slept and trained without it. They could also save themselves $70 and just breathe nose-only.

    My understanding is that you would ideally do the opposite- live and rest in lower o2, but train at sea level. When you are working with reduced oxygen you can't generate full power, so as far as your muscles are concerned they aren't getting a very good workout. You sure are breathing hard though!
