Skier666 dropping into Chimney Sweep this morning. After a quick peek from the top I headed over to main chute with my tail between my legs, as per usual.

Super rad day yesterday with Snowbrains/Squaw crew!

Last minute decision to day trip from SF after social media showing me how good the Chimney looked...and I had to get some. The Chimney was open at 9:00am and shut down around 11:30am...the rest of the Palisades remained open but not sure how long. I got 6 laps in. 4 in the Sweep (all variations), one lap down the middle off the kicker, and closed it off with Schmidiots. Super stoked. Click my instagram link below for some shots...too busy to embed properly here.

The rest of the day I wandered around KT. West Face, Chute 75, the Alternates and Oly Lady wasn't too bad. I'd say under the Alternates had the smoothest snow going. Snow was crazy warm and my quads ended up giving out around 2:30pm.

Miles uploaded a fun vid and wrote a small blog:

We should be at Alpine tomorrow.
Hoping for open Hi-T/Sherwood, and some softening.
Haven't skied in like 2 weeks...
Holla if U know our steeze [emoji12]

Alpine was pretty much perfect spring skiing today. I haven't been here in a couple years...I forgot how rad it was. Southern aspects were good right off the bat at 9 so I bet tomorrow morning will be great as long as the sun comes out before the storm gets here.

Went to go look for a ski I lost this season at Heavenly, mission accomplished so I'm pretty stoked.

One of those days you could ski corn all day, dropped a south facing line around 10:00, by the time we climbed backed up you could have skied great corn south again. North facing stuff off Monument was still locked up at 12:30, east facing was good though, got fun run in both Killebrew and Mott, there still real fat including the sunny sides, willows are not even popping up under the Mott lift yet. Mott and Killebrew are all smoothed out, moguls are gonzo.

If your looking for a short drive from town its door to door skiing still from Stagecoach, there has been some very recent grooming on some runs pretty much top to bottom once you pass were the rim trail crosses over the stagecoach run. Pretty much every aspect is available to ski right now, would not be surprised to see them reopen for Memorial day.

Did not bring camera today, but my bud with First Tracks did

    Backcountry with a 10-year-old mini-TR, here we go . . . .

    Just a little further, honey.

You will never have more backcountry steeze than this.

Or this. Color game is on point.

I don't think I've posted here since the last big snow year in 2011.
I've had a few good corn days in the past few weeks around Tahoe,

[QUOTE=powdork;5018714]Coverage is great but some assholes have been tearing up the backside on sleds.

Not sure if its the same crew (obviously) but there were sled tracks all the way down to Summit City crick and in the 4th of July bowl as well. Pretty sure that all falls into the wilderness designation and should be off limits.

They are plastic trekkers made specifically for kids. She isn't going to fit anything else for a few years. (She is the smallest fit for the kid's trekkers and is still a 3-4 sizes too small for tech boots.) Anyhow, they worked well enough for a 1,200' mini-tour.

1200' mini tour is probably my biggest day this past season. Sad.

What size boot does one need to fit the mini trekkers? Where did you buy?
