Negotiate price before arriving. Bring in cashiers check and I am out.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

The owner of that XC70 high powered soccer mom mobile is not budging on price. I couldn't go full price on the thing. Had more than expected light scratches on the black paint, a few lime size scratch/rashes on those grey colored plastic bumper valances front/back and higher wear interior from actually getting used by two kids.

Another thing that also jumped out was the green organic growth on the inside of the tail lights. Probably an easy enough PNW problem to fix, but was not fixed during the apparent recent detail and I am lazy if this is a common cleaning thing with these.

Thing is still a nice ride and we are pretty close in price, but I bet it goes close to/asking

Probably end up liquidating the 529 and going with an '18 model. Kids are going schollie or bust. They're at their best when challenged.

how did these things go new in the $40s and similar equipped v90s go in the $60s. Aggressive volvo

Yup, sure am, same color (Passion Red) as yours too. I have folded down the seats before but I've never been able to jam them down as far as you have in your pic. I've also had the front passenger seat folded forwards as well (I was moving and needed to carry a bunch of stuff).

Most of the issue is the padding in those wonderfully comfortable seats, the comfort comes at a cost. In my ancient 240 wagon, the lower seat cushion flips forward, allowing the seatbacks to fold down flat. Same in my parents 740 wagon. I car camp in my wagon and can stretch all the way out, nice flat floor. Could never do that in the S60.

That's too bad about the XC70, sounds like it was rode hard and put away wet. The light thing is not an issue unless it's been cracked open. The housings are one piece and solid.

But I like your plan for a new V90XC. Strong play.

Cool beans about the front seat folding down flat, I didn't know that was an option. Bought it used in August of last year and my better-half uses it almost exclusively.

I love the passing power of that car.

Depends on the fucknuggetry level of the stealership. Obviously most of us negotiate price in writing before going in, and arrange the payment, but while my local Subaru dealer took about 90 mins the Ford dealer took 4+ hours.

Yeah, I do all the negotiation via email before showing up with a check. The inspection and signing takes up to 90 mins. I quickly and politely say "No" to the add-ons.

Just purchased a leftover 2015 TDi Golf Wagon.

They had significant discounts, 0% financing and an extended warranty (11 years, 162,000 miles for you 'mericans) that covers emissions hardware, fuel system (including fuel pump and injectors) and the Turbo.

Stoked. Especially since our Mazda5 is currently in the shop with suspension issues.

The M550d is back for 2017, and this time, it has four (!) turbochargers pushing air into a 3.0-liter diesel straight-six. The engine now makes 400 horsepower and 560 lb.-ft. of torque, and sends all that twist through an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a rear-biased all-wheel-drive system.
    Go on...

Twincharged Volvos. BMWs with four turbos. Can't imagine owning something like that out of warranty.

Then there are the $2k plus headlight assemblies, software running the show, and touch screen everything on these new whips. It's a refreshing update on the ol maxim to make the buyer get into a new vehicle when warranty is up

Had a car recently with halogen headlamps. Couldn't take it. Once you've had the sealed xenon's it's hard to go back.

It's more of a small SUV than a wagon but the Alfa Stelvio will be out very soon. Up to 505 HP in the Quadrifoglio package, AWD, available with a manual. 3.9 second 0-60. Diesels available in Euroland, maybe later here?

Hand made in Britain is just another way of saying the doors are going to fall off.

Ice, there is no effing way one of those SUVish things is coming to the US w/ a manual. As it is the sedan isn't. Anyway it kinda looks like the MB GLA 250, and that's OK.

Yeah it seemed doubtful about the manual but I read something that implied it would be available. I'm sure you're right. ~$80K for the Quadrifoglia version anyways, no thanks.
