they've made a legacy wagon overseas for years that is in that vein. including diesel, 6MT, and STI variants depending on the market.

i think worst case the 2.0 DIT will end up in the outback in the next year or two.

Mazda still says they're going to sell a diesel CX5 in the U.S., starting late 2017.

Should be good for 40+ mpg highway, since the gas AWD CX5 is low-to-mid-30s.

    1. The CX-5 is a cute Ute not a wagon
    2. Our AWD CX-5 gets 27.5 mpg. It is maybe a 30 mpg highway only.

Pretty sure BMW still offers these, they aren't cheap or easy to come by but they sell them.

And BMW has the diesel X5. I have been eying those to pull a light camper.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Oh hey there TGR wagon fans. Have you always wanted a Subaru Legacy with a LS2 GTO 400hp with a 6MT swap and adjustable air suspension?

    Well, you're in luck:

Defeats entire purpose of Subaru. Lost AWD with engine swap. How much slower would the crap Pontiac the engine came from really be? Seems fucking stupid.

What I like about this place is that when I read about an LS swap suby, if I'm too lazy to post it I know someone will in an hour or so.

Not to take away from those feel-good moments, but here's one that will really ruin all our days:

From the article: "This is the all new Alpina B5 Touring. It is a BMW wagon with 600 horsepower and a top speed of 205 mph. You can’t have it. (Unless you live in Europe)"

    Man, fuck all these people.

At this point I'm used to Euros getting all the cool wagons. Another trend I'm noticing is that "fastbacks" are now a new, less practical replacement for wagons in the US.

Not saying it doesn't look good, but do people forget how much utility a wagon has?
