Current weather mostly wet & windy here at AM base.
A little snow on trees early this am, but gone now.
Roof is dripping water & dropping slabs.
Did turn to blowing whiteout for a while, but back to windy/wet now.

I'll keep an eye out for you on Part 2. I'm drying out right now in my rig, near Subway.
Back to the black Wood jacket for the afternoon.

2_1_3 that graphic took me a long time to read, but I'm dumb. Anyway, SO RAD. Thanks.

666, a couple of those airs were damn impressive. Not bad for an old fart. You got trainers massaging your thighs after those sessions or just ice baths?

Schralph...CANCUN? I would never have guessed that. Watch out for the ambulatory Mexican (jock) crabs.

m75ae1, I'm still waiting for that offer to get with your sister.

Going up tomorrow and can't decide between Kirkwood or Heavenly. I am kind of leaning towards Heavenly because I think 6, 10 and 4 will be on wind hold. Any thoughts?

Apparently even people in serene Lakes get bitchy about snow

For some reason, the grade-school handwriting of that first snowbank message cracks me up.

I have a job and I really like skiing, so I don't have a strict budget.

I'm just busting in here with a complete off-topic question: where can I buy a rossignol jig? All I can find is old vintage crap on ebay.

DUI suspect shot and killed by CHP between Alpine and Squaw following a car chase this morning. 89 closed indefinitely between the resorts.

MAKE TAHOE DEEP AGAIN ~ 2016/17 OFISHUL SNOW/FOOD/WHINE & STOKE THREAD

Bombs rattling the car at Kirkwood. Odd weather. Rain at peddler hill. 28 degrees at Kirkwood. Not really snowing. Windy but not crazy.

That write up is terrible. Calls off chase in TC then later sees him at the Y? Spike strips? Random hostage available at 2am? Driveway on 89? Some questions are answered, others pop up!

I'm hearing that it's all just a KSL conspiracy to drum up support for the gondola.

The snowbank is like wide-ruled paper to help out.

Getting a lazy start to head over today, maybe the snow will be coming down by then, yesterday was a bit of a sleeper day out there, very few people and fresh tracks all day that skied bottomless on the right aspects, icy or a hard bottom on the wrong aspects. Snowed the whole time I was there but it definitely got denser as the day went on, bailed around 1:30ish and it was 37 degrees at the base even though it was still snow.

Snowing pretty hard in South lake County now

Love that I can come here and get a link to a Sacramento news station as my only way to find out what's going on down the street.

And for in depth stories rather than breaking news, subscribe to Moonshine Ink if you don't already. While it's free they can use the money and they're the only ones doing any kind of investigative journalism around here.
